My PoV: matchmaking is a good idea, but w/ 5s and such, it's still tough. There's no way we should be having to pair up with some of these people.



That'd be my two, teach people how to play ball. I got on the mic and I said, "Yo... if someone is open and they are closer to the basket than you PASS THEM THE BALL." haha. I mean, there are exceptions (like it's a bad look to give your big man the ball too early on the break, but around half court he can act as a passing hub. Stuff like that, people seem so clueless about. NEVER HELP OFF THE CORNER IN 2k!!



Maybe give little messages you can put on a time out. PASS, BOX OUT, GET BACK ON D, THAT'S YOUR MAN, OOP IT. Etc. The straight hateful time are something as well. You should not be able to time out someone else's move. Time outs should be dead ball, when you have the ball, and then if you've had the ball for a certain amount of time, they should be able to time you out, but not a short amount like 7+ seconds.



I disagree with shortening games. I do think people are toxic, but finishing games is just normal behavior. I think people deserve a VC bonus for playing out the game. I play full loot pvp games and everyone has an ego, but it's like yo sometimes you gotta be that dude who is getting played, you know? But reward the opponents for staying. They def need to re-define a lot of things tho with how they give out myplayer points in losses. When your whole team is complete trash and you play well and do all the right things, you shouldn't get like a 95. Even a 97 can be a downgrade depending. I dunno if you can get much higher than 97 in an L unless you're just jacking.


They need to find a way to make people stop: quitting, being toxic, pouting, etc... that's the most important thing. Almost every game you start, someone is not there to begin, someone does burn all the time outs, people start inbounding the ball to non PG. It just degrades. That level of poor sportsmanship is pretty amazing in a team game.



A TON of people play 2k, so yea they need to be happy, but I dunno how anyone is happy by people being little turds and not playing, not coming down to play D, making you play 4v5... they should be kicked immediately. Ain't much better than quitting, but hard selling sucks. It happens too often for that kind of game.

I starter to say a few things and then I just let the shhh go. I've been playing this game since dreamcast. When the game turned into a 3 point... neverminds. I'm not going to take it to that point.

Other than the 2k18, 2k19 pro am teams I was a part of Rhode Island(Prominence, Rub0Dub, Opticalcenter, OceanStateJack, BennyBobby, MarvinGabe and GotTheItch). The best thing 2k has done in my opinion is to make me appreciate all of the other games I had been neglecting.

I just finally started The Witcher 3 and both Spidemans to get me the **ck away from 2k. Last year it was Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

Tone the 3point shooting down, make this basketball game about BASKETBALL and everyone wins.

Honestly it wouldn't be sooo bad if people graded out a LOT quicker. I was playing during double rep weekend and dude did NOT move his controller and didn't get kicked till halfway through the second quarter. Even in park games it takes at LEAST 2-3 possessions. By that point in either mode the game is typically decided. So what's the point? But in Park if I'm running with randoms, like I said in another thread, I'll scout them to see if they at least play CAREER half way decently. If someone has terrible stats and shooting percentages for a handful of games I'll give them a shot. I am a 2xlvl 40. I got the game late or I'd be legend already. But I win over 65% of my park games and shoot over 50% from deep. At one point I was shooting 19% from deep till I found out about real FG% in the park.

Point is... Even legends you can scout to see how they play. If someone has the Sniper badge I know for a fact they play with the meter or at least still use shot timing. That means I'll give them the first shot to see if they green rather than give up an easy layup.

But after REPEATEDLY leaving your man open... Throwing up dumb shh... Then rage quitting after 2 possessions you should have MAJOR consequences. Treat them like GTA does and put the bad teammates with the other bums like this they said in the OP.

At LEAST punish them teammate grade wise more. Without passing for an assist you should get at MOST 3 contested shots and be kicked. If you don't play D at all I'll give you 3 wide open shots by your man.

But it's gotten SO bad that even as a big I have to literally guard their man and give up the easy 2 which means even if I make them miss my man gets a putback.

It really is a trickle effect to where I almost never run with randoms now. Being high rank I get a LOT of friend requests tho so I have a bunch of people to play with.

a vote from a teammate for a "new" player grade would be great (at the end of the match)
imagine that you can vote for the other 4 players and give them a rating according to the match.
those ballhogs and trash players will be exposed.

By the way, it would also be wonderful to have a team poll to kick another player out of the match.
if all other humans on the team vote for it, the trash player should be kicked out of the match.
this could be done at the end of each quarter (to give the damned some credit)
