why dont sliders and settings work in mycareer mode?

I dont like the chain mini game at the beginning going on for so long so i like to turn it down so it just does it once or twice and even off sometimes. But for some reason these settings dont carry over to mycareer mode. It seems like the settings dont either like shutting off camera cuts, and replays as well.

why would they do this?

It is a signature of 2k. The same issues have been present in the NBA version of mycareer.

there is no point of even having sliders or even a difficulty level if its not going to even affect my career.

That is something that you would have to ask 2k. It makes no sense because basically it forces you to play the game on default no matter how you enjoy the way the game is played. Makes no sense that you can't choose things like that.
