WWE 2K14 Universe Mode Thread- How's Your's Going

Backstory: In an attempt to revitalize Pro Wrestling Vince Mcmahon and Dixie Carter have agreed to officially compete against one another for ratings. The WWE is now split With Triple H controlling RAW, Paul Heyman controlling SmackDown, And Dixie Carter in control of TNA. A draft between Raw and Smackdown broke the WWE roster in half, and Paul Heymans Smackdown opted for a younger roster. Triple H's Raw opted to draft for star power. Trades and an official free agent pool will have these three organizations scrambling for talent.

The WWE is still competing against itself, but Raw and SD have a working relationship in place. They share MITB, Summer Slam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and Wrestlemania.

RAW exclusive ppv's are Extreme Rules, No Way Out, and Hell in a Cell.

SD exclusives are Over the Limit, Judgement Day (In place of Night of champions) And TLC.

Impact Opts to have 5 ppv's in Final Resolution, Hard Justice, Lockdown, Genesis, and Bound For Glory.

Minor league rosters:

NXT: Raw did a great job signing bright young talent onto it's minor league roster. It makes up for the older talent on the main roster, and they are still negotiating with the likes of Richie Steamboat, and Alexander Rusev.

FCW: Smackdowns FCW is a hybrid of WWE's overlooked alumni, seasoned vets, and great young talent. Davey Richards is a lock to sign after he recovers from a minor neck injury.

ECW: Impact drew the least attention from the young talent as expected, and as a result their minor league roster is all over the place. Adam Cole, Michael Elgin, and Eddie Kingston are likely pillars for the organizations future, but aside from that theres an abundance of troubled young talent, and un-tradable ECW has beens. The good news is that TNA is at least negotiating with Tommaso Ciampa, and the prodigy Mike Bennett.

Based on the Major and minor league rosters which organization is in the best shape? What does TNA have to do to get on Raw and SDs level?

Transactions:

Tna has locked up Tommaso Ciampa to a minor league contract (ECW) And has also signed Manik to the main roster.

SD has signed Kevin Steen to a minor legue contract (FCW)

Monday Night Raw!

The show opens with the WWE champion Randy Orton. He explains to the crowd that he will be the WWE champion for years to come. He tells them to get used to the image of him holding this title, because it's gonna be his for a long time. Out comes John Cena to cut him off right there. He tells Orton that his prediction of a long reign is far fetched, and that he'll be looking to take that title from him at extreme rules by becoming the #1 contender. The two go back and forth. Triple H comes out and decides to make a six man tag team match to open the show.

Match #1: Cena, RVD, Dolph Ziggler vs. Orton, Jack Swagger, Antonio Cesaro

A tag match that followed the classic Cena formula. Ziggler is getting beat on by the opposing team, and he's finally able to tage in Cena. Cena comes in like a house of fire. He hits the five knuckle shuffle on Cesaro right after tagging in Rob Van Dam, who delivers a frog splash on Cesaro mid move to get the victory.

Match #2: CM Punk vs. Ryback

A rather quick match that really had nothing going for it. CM Punk gets the W with a GTS.

Match 3: Matt Hardy vs. Dean Ambrose

Matt Hardy makes his WWE return, and is out to a great ovation from the crowd. His opponent is the U.S champion Dean Ambrose. Ambrose and Hardy go back and forth, and the match ends with a huge knee to the face of Hardy. Ambrose manages to knock off Hardy in this non title match.

Match #4: John Morrison vs The Miz

What started out as a friendly welcome back match from the Miz to his friend John Morrison turned sour quick. Miz got frustrated as Morrison had his number all match. Miz resulted to choking him multiple times, and won with the Skull Crushing finale.

Match #5: Goldust and Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns

A great match showcasing what the tag team division is capable of on Raw. A long match sees Rollins and Reigns defeating the tag team champions in a match with huge implications. Romans and Reigns do the title motion around their waists and leave to end Raw.

The Shield tweeted soon after the match.

Darn DLC content is coming to soon for me to do this practice universe. So in the mean time while I am waitin for the dlc and the roster thing I'm doin. My universe is going to be a little different in its lead up hope u guys enjoy it.

TNA SOLD & NEW OWNER SHUTS DOWN OPERATIONS

The Carters today agreed to terms for selling the TNA franchise to a longtime wrestling fan/critic named Matt O'Bannon. The amount of the sale was not disclosed at press time but estimated to be about 10 million dollars.

New Owner of TNA Matt O'Bannon announced that operations would be shut down to the public while the organzation was being rebranded. It's believed that the shutdown could occur from anywhere 3 to 5 months. If the shutdown were to occur for 5 months it would re air right around WWE's WrestleMania.

No roster cuts have been announced but it is believed that Mr.O'Bannon whats to cut out the dead weight and sign a mixture of old & new talent.

TLC Quick Results:

CM Punk defeated Bray Wyatt in a table match via a Macho Man Elbow Drop through a table.

Daniel Bryan and Rey Mysterio lost to Erik Rowan and Luke Harper in a tornado tag team chairs match.

The Primetime Players defended their tag team championships for the first time, in a tornado tag team ladder match,against the Real Americans. In an excellent match, the Primetime Players retained.

Big E Langston defeated Dean Ambrose in a TLC match to become the new United States Champion.

Seth Rollins, weeks ago, turned on Roman Reigns, costing the two the tag titles. Roman Reigns got his hands on Rollins tonight. Reigns was setting up for a spear when the lights went out. When the lights came back on, Kassius Ohno was attacking Reigns. Ohno helped Rollins put Reigns through a table. Ohno has joined the Shield.

John Cena retained the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Alberto Del Rio and Damien Sandow in a ladder match.

After Big Show won the title by beating Orton at Survivor Series, Randy Orton used his rematch clause in a TLC match. Randy RKO'ed Show through a table, and unhooked the title, regaining the WWE Championship.

Wrestling Classic Results:

Edge won the 16 man Wrestling Classic Tournament, lastly pinning Batista.

Scott Hall of the NWO retained the Intercontinental Championship in a great match against Eddie Guerrero.

The Brain Busters defeated Demolition to win the vacant tag titles.

Edge fought Hulk Hogan for the World Heavyweight Championship, as the match was the prize for the winner of the tournament. Hogan had Edge beat, but the NWO came to ringside. Edge and Hogan grabbed chairs, ready to fight the NWO together, but Edge turned heel, hitting Hogan with the chair. An Edge-Cution on the chair gave Edge the win and the title. Edge is a member of the NWO now.

Roman Reigns vs. Kassius Ohno and Seth Rollins

United States Championship: Big E Langston (c) vs. Dean Ambrose

Tag Team Championship: Primetime Players (c) vs. the Rhodes Dynasty (Cody Rhodes and Goldust)

CM Punk vs. Bray Wyatt in a steel cage match.

30 Man Royal Rumble Match

WWF Royal Rumble Results:

Batista defeated Scott Hall of the NWO to win the Intercontinental Championship.

The Brain Busters retained the Tag Team Championships against Syxx and Curt Henning of the NWO.

Due to interference from the Giant, Edge retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Hulk Hogan.

Goldberg won the Royal Rumble, earning a World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania.

I'm getting the game today and I just wanted to know how Universe mode is this year didn't get WWE 13 but WWE 12 had a solid Universe

Universe mode in 13 was a disaster. It had no cutscenes most of the time and when it did they made no sense. 2K14's rivalry manager makes cutscenes appear and for the most part make sense. I have a Miz/Morrison rivalry going on right now, and just two weeks in it's made me fall in love with the game.

News/Transactions before Smackdown

SD is reportedly looking to trade for or sign some younger talent. They have their eyes on Dolph Ziggler, Big E Langston.
Raw is looking for some midcard heels.
Mr. Anderson is looking to return to either TNA or WWE.

Friday Night Smackdown

Match #1: Hurricane vs. Tyson Kidd
The show opens with the entrance of The Hurricane! He's out to a big pop from the crowd. Out next is his opponent Tyson Kidd. He's out to a decent reaction. The two shake hands before putting on a demonstration of what pro wrestling is all about. The match ends with a shining wizard.
Winner Hurricane

Del Rio is in the rings as we return from a commercial break. He tells the crowd that his career has been on a downward spiral, but not to worry, because it's his destiny to be World Champion. Evan Bourne then makes his entrance after the promo. He's accompanied by Kofi Kingston.

Match #2: Alberto Del Rio vs. Evan Bourne w/Kofi Kingston.

Del Rio is in firm control of this match from start to finish. Bourne gets some cool spots in, but can't stop the determined Del Rio.

Match #3: R-Truth vs. Christain

Christain was getting beat down most of the match, but started to mount a comeback. He accidentally misses R-Truth with a clothesline, and hits the Ref. Damien Sandow then runs out to the ring and hits the "Your Welcome" on both men. What was that all about?
Winner: Draw

Match #4: Bray Wyatt vs. Fernando

A squash match. The matador couldn't handle the unorthodox in ring Style of Bray Wyatt.
Winner: Bray Wyatt

Match #5 Daniel Bryan vs. Mark Henry

Mid match Bryan hits a Busaiku Knee on Henry off the top rope. As he's about to go for a pin Kane's pyro hits, and Bryan's former partner makes his way to the Ring. He hits Bryan with a chokeslam. Henry pins Bryan after a Worlds Strongest Slam, unaware of the interference.

SD goes off the air with Kane laughing at the top of the stage.
