As promised now that our fans have flocked to the official NHL Facebook Fan page and put us over 40k, I’ve recorded another clip further illustrating how the Real-Time Physics work in NHL 11 along with a second clip with a quick user celebration. As you can tell from my somewhat tired voice, the team has been working extremely hard into the early morning hours over the past week looking to hit Beta, so I appreciate everyone’s patience ... Thanks to all the 10K+ NHL fans who are following us on twitter @EASPORTSNHL as well as on our official Facebook fan page at http://facebook.com/easportsnhl. Since I promised I would show you guys a quick clip from NHL 11 once we hit 10,000 tweeps, I caught this quick clip that shows how the game uses the real-time physics engine to illustrate what we’re so excited about on this end.

E3 is just about in the books and these past three days have been nothing short of a video gamers dream come true! I know we've got more videos on the way but in the meantime I thought I'd throw up some pics from my walk through the EA SPORTS floor today. Great job by all the EA SPORTS demo staff on hand as it's no doubt there are plenty of tired feet and lost voices among them.
But enough from me...click on the thumbs to see larger versions and thanks to all the fans ... Read More

Things at EA Canada got kicked up a notch the last couple of weeks and I really don't see things slowing down with E3 now just a couple of weeks away. Dev teams have been working into the evenings to not only meet tight milestones, but they've also been finding time to show off the game to press and community as we near a very busy time in our industry.

I was asked by Senior Publicist Steve Frost if I'd be interested in tagging along during a motion capture session with Vancouver Canucks' Assistant Captain Ryan Kesler. The studio was to host Inside the NHL's Dan Moriarty who created the idea for a segment on his show to feature Kesler to speak on his passion for video games. Being a 'nucks' fan, I was totally stoked to jump at the opportunity to hang out and take a few pictures to share for our community. I even brought my 'nucks hat which I ... Read More

For some life after Christmas can seem a little slow with a New Year's hangover and the rut of having to pay off the Christmas Visa after splurging a little more than you should have. I've just passed my first three months as Community Manager at EA Canada and the one thing my life is not, is slow.
I was having dinner with my brother Dex who came in from Toronto to do a photo shoot and we were catching up on each others' careers. He had moved out there to be closer to the fashion ... Read More

Check out my Saturday Events Recap!
The All-Star Game was nothing short of a shooter's paradise as skaters were allowed to freely roam the ice and players found lanes not usually opening up for them as they did in this contest. It was a fun display of skill that is rarely seen during the season games, and in my opinion, that's fine because for the entertainment value alone it's something to see when players hook up on some of the nice ... I wanted to take a moment to share some of the different ways that we're getting our development staff to get out of their normal day-to-day routines and to communicate with the sports gaming community and what better place to share than right here in one of the top sports communities on the net.
I've always had a lot of respect for the team here because these guys know how to run a site and I really hope that our team at EA can take a few pointers from the guys here have done with ... Read More

Talk about a crazy first week back at work here at EA Canada. As a first blog post here in OS, I wanted to share a little of what I do in my day-to-day as a Community Manager. I really do think I have one of the sweetest gigs around and I consider myself pretty lucky to work with the talented people that I do.
