Madden 12 Gameplay on First Take, More Coming on SN

As you all know, the Madden cover winner will be revealed 4pm on ESPN2's SportsNation. Here is a clip from this morning's First Take with some flashes of Vick in the game. More will probably be shown in the afternoon.

Obviously, you can't tell much from this kind of reveal, but some things that stood out to me were the improved presentation entering on to the field, the spin move Vick puts on and the momentum of the tackle, the improved throwing on the run animation, when he protects the ball while being tackled at 9 sec. in, and is it me or do the player models look a little more filled out and less like video-game like than last year? What else do you see?

P. S. The video is too low quality to confirm this but it seems like there is 3d grass as expected. Thanks to "6ft7in" for putting this on Youtube!

Nice catch. I'm actually home sick and caught some First and Ten for the first time in months but didn't see this. Whets the appetite a bit...and since I'm home, I should get in some 11. Heh.

Tomorrow there will be formal announcements, a developer blog, and a bunch of videos from preview events and developer interviews. However, they will keep some things hidden so they can reveal more later, culminating in E3.
