LOL, why is the cpu waiving guys like Dempster and Chatwood? If it were me, I'd be tempted to claim them just to trade them back.

Also, nice move for Cargo. Not really sure how much he'd cost, but I like that even though the Mets are struggling you aren't giving up.

It's easy to suggest being a seller if the team's not doing well, but it's not easy to actually play 50-150 games with a stripped down team and players you don't really like.

84th Mid-Summer classic hosted by one of the worst teams in baseball. The New York Mets. We had 2 guys in the starting lineup and on the team, 3B David Wright and LF Carlos Gonzalez. Both went 0-4 with a strikeout. Way to rep the hosting team guys. Stay hot.

The American League would take this one 4-1 and have secured home field advantage for the World Series.

Below is some pictures from the game, enjoy 'em and lets get back to some Mets baseball!

Dude both of them were headscratchers. I was going to trade them back but the sore loser in me made me hold onto them. Might send chatwood back but hes doing so poorly struggling players must stay on my struggling team . CarGo was top 10 in average, homeruns, doubles, rbis and triples so I had to give up a lot to get him.

It's been speculated by the "experts" that the Mets could be contenders in 1-2 years. If that's what its gonna take, I'm here for the long haul. If I was expecting to win it all in the first season best believe I wouldn't have chosen the Mets lol. The garuntee'd playoff contenders, etc etc by our GM is to help me provide a backstory which I will be using more next season, as we will begin to add some characters into the front office.

Mets Make Moves With Last Place Padres, Grab Stolen Base Leader

The San Diego Padres have sent SS Everth Cabrera to packing to the New York Mets for potential backup catcher Landon Powell and future infield utility man Matt Reynolds. Cabrera was the league leader in steals, swiping 33 bags on 37 attempts. Landon Powell is hitting .280 at Triple-A Las Vegas, and his 51s teamate Reynolds was hitting .294, batting .429 with runners in scoring position. Reynolds can play third base, shortstop and second. This also allows Jace Petterson or Alexi Amarista to see more playing time as the everyday shortstop. Cabrera will play everyday for the New York Mets. Ruben Tejada, who has been placed on the trading block, will be sent back down to Las Vegas for the second time this year.

Oh come on! You can't be serious... Wil Myers is the All Star Game MVP?

Any way, congrats on hosting the All Star Game and great job acquiring Cabrera, he should provide some good speed to your ball club.

Gee Falls an Out Short of a Complete Game, Mets Beat Rivals

Dillon Gee came up big today right when we needed him to. The bullpen was tired after working the last 2 games, and Gee decides to turn it up and go 8 2/3 innings before giving up a hit and getting pulled. Bobby Parnell would come in and strike out Ryan Howard with 2 men on, and record his 22nd save of the game. Jordany Valdespin hit a 2 run homerun in the 5th and the Mets never looked back.

Player of the Game NYM Dillon Gee (5-5) 8.2 IP, 10 H, 1 R, 4SO 2.72 ERA

The Mets will try and take this momentum into their next series, a 4 game home stand vs Atlanta before heading on the road for 7 games against the Nationals and Marlins. Tomorrows probables feature red hot Zack Wheeler (4-3 2.61 ERA) and Brandon Beachy (8-4 3.42 ERA)
