Xbox 360 or PS3?

Personally, I like PS3 better because of free online (live for Xbox)...

....But Xbox makes Halo and other games not made for PS#

What are your thoughts? ?

FREE ONLINE? It's free, but it's like buying 99cent headphones they break easily,and xbox live is like buying 100 dollar headphones which have good quality

I like my PlayStation so much better than my Xbox. Don't even get me started on quality product. The Xbox sounds like a jet airplane taking off in my living room and I'm pretty sure at any time it could blow up. Either way, they're online service is better, faster downloads (I mean it should be it's infinity % more than the PS3's online service).

At the same time, I'm pretty sure this is my last year with XBL before I cancel. While I like it, the PS3 is free and serviceable. Not to mention the games coming out on PSN are fantastic, and I'd rather use that $50 a year to buy some cool arcade games than waste it on an online service full of ads.

For me it defaults to PS3 simply because of bluray. Overall, I like the exclusives on PS3 better, but I LOVE Gears of War, and like the way sports games play and feel better on the 360... plus, let's just be honest with ourselves, Live is way better.

However, like I said, I can't own just a 360 because of bluray, and no way in hell would I ever own JUST a bluray player when PS3s are the same price and do way more.

So, if I'm choosing just one... PS3.

I will say whatever gap their was between the two will now close fast and "VERY FAST" with this price drop. Incredible price at $299. Peace!!!!!

I went from xbox to 360 because of my xbox live friends list. You don't have to pay $50 a year for live. A little shopping around and its only been $30 per 13 months for my last 2 renewals.

Both have their pluses, but I wouldn't have time for two systems, so I went with PS3. My reasons:

-Reliability... just about everyone I know had problems with their 360
-Blu-Ray
-Free online (Is it as good as XBL? No, but it's fine for me. And to the poster who made the you get what you pay for comment, I would say the same thing with the overall console price of the PS3 compared to the 360 - at least until the PS3 price drop evened that up)
-Free Wi-Fi
-Cousin had it so we could play online
-Exclusive games, though this became a bigger deal to me after I got the system. When I was making my choice, I really wasn't thinking about it too much, but as it's turned out, a lot of the games I play are PS3 exclusives.

It is confirmed by sony that ps3 slim has no backward Compatibility,lol
