Dude, f-ing exactly. That's why I don't get why anybody thinks I'm merely "whining" when I complain about tackles this year.

FIFA '14 is the Year of the Tackle. No wait, I'll go one better: The Immaculate Tackle. There's simply too little reward for discipline. You can run around the pitch diving into tackles with verrrrrry little risk. Totally silly.

It almost reminds me, *gasp*, of Legacy Defending.

In all fairness it was a super lenient referee and there were 10+ advantages played. I mean I get that EA needs to keep fouls limited because of online play, I just think they go about it the wrong way. I'm going to write an article about this soon for FIFA Soccer Blog, along with a couple of possible solutions. I would have done it sooner but I wanted to make sure the problem still existed with the next gen version of the game.

Ahh, look forward to reading it. I forgot about the broken "advantage" thing, but like other things in FIFA, I don't envy the task of programming in something like an advantage judgment by a ref. Still, I do have about two or three times per game where I'm like, "Please don't give me the advantage! I want to take a free kick! UGH!"

This is why I hate the philosophy behind One Code To Rule Them All.

If they don't want fouls in online play, then change the base code for online play FFS. In career mode / offline, why on earth can't I have a reasonable or realistic number of fouls?

i don't really believe this is the case. most online kids complain about the lack of fouls as much as us.

Went out at 9:30pm to Wal-Mart and there were six people in line for the Xbox One...I was the seventh, and there were seven units available...so starting tomorrow sometime I will be restarting my Newcastle CM on the Xbox One, and look forward to seeing how these sliders play out.
