Pass Speed 45/15 -- advantage for the user because CPU will abuse drilled passes on higher pass speeds and user's defenders are unable to keep up.
Injury Freq 65/65
Injury Severity 40/40
GK Ability 20/20 -- best balance of deflected shots and occasional catches.
Marking 60/60 -- working well considering the pass speed. CPU defends great, it's all about the user's defense here.
Run Freq. 20/20 -- balances out the runs into the box considering the line length so players are not running offsides before the ball is crossed.
Height 52/52 -- Allows the defensive line to meet the attackers in defensive third on transition.
Length 62/62 -- Key value to get the defenders to meet the attackers at the top of the box and be "active" throughout the entire pitch, not just their designated area behind the defensive third.
Width 32/32 (previously 42/42) -- The only value still exploring, but 42 matches well with the significant increase of length nicely. Not too tight, but not too wide.
Fullbacks 52/52 -- Allows FB's to still overlap and be aware on transition/counter-attacks.
First Touch40/50 -- Possible placebo, but it seems lower FT Control for user allows less "avoidance" (where the user AI runs away from a loose ball). Still seeing bad touches as well.
Like these so far, though I think I prefer a bit higher pass speed.

Also, I like that you're providing explanations for each slider now. This is really helpful.

having pass error on default and the CPU miss plenty. the problem is they don't slow down to take a cross. the cpu attempts them at full speed, on the wrong foot (play hull and Snodgrass a left-footer plays on the right and just runs down the wing and hits them at full speed on his wrong foot 7-10 times per game. all of them go out of bounds.)

Not saying you're wrong, but there's been a pretty clear relationship between pass error sliders and crossing since sliders were introduced, and I don't know why this year would be different. In FIFA 14 this was really bugging me and I tracked stats over several seasons of a Chelsea CM and there was a clear drop-off in successful crosses - I literally counted them per game - and the pass error slider.


Also, what difficulty are you playing on? 'Cause on default settings on WC I see the CPU take tons of poor crosses, like what you're describing, but on Legendary there's a pretty clear difference to me that the CPU makes better decisions and doesn't take as poor shots and crosses.

Yeah, 14 had the issue of pass error creating the volleyball effect (the ball bounces up in the air on short passes). I've seen small indicators of this at the really low pass speeds + pass errors.

I will look into a slightly higher at 20-25 max just to see. My focus will be the relevance of the drilled pass at that speed and how it incorporates the forwards being able to pick up the ball and turn on a dime, with no defender near them. The helpful part about the low pass speed is that it allows the defender to "catch up" with the CPU attacker and be there in time for the user to defend them tightly. You can see that a couple times in my video on the previous page.

My (Arsenal) stats listed first.

i'm on WC, 15 minutes pass error 55/60; pass spd 45/40 & FT 50/60 as my sliders which "slow down" the CPU.

I've changed to these values and I'm liking them. The AI still has their OP passes nerfed and the higher run freq makes things more alive imo.
