To say the 360 doesn't have any good games outside of GOW & HALO is a The 360 has some great games exclusive to that system.(Not counting PC) Games like:

Lost Odyssey
Mass Effect
Blue Dragon
FORZA
PGR
Splinter Cell Series
Alan Wake
Banjoo
Bioshock

There is no doubt that the ps3 right now @ $399.99 is a great deal, but BR Playback right now is the big seller, with games being 2nd. There's no doubt the PS3 will begin to make way in the fall with it's exclusives, but as of right now they really have no EXCLUSIVES that has people going crazy about getting a PS3. GTA might be the-1 that begins the trend, but again it's not an EXCLUSIVE

Exactly- I know its popular to knock Microsoft but to say there aren't many appealing exclusives is laughable, at best.

You can add Fable, Too Human, and Halo Wars to that list just for a start. There are others too. Don't forget that many 3rd party games work far better on the 360 (Rainbow 6V2, Orange Box, etc. run far better on the 360). I know its great to categorize people with a 360 as crazy, but there are rational reasons to hold onto that system. As somebody who had both (and gave away my PS3 to my brother), I'm still happy.

Enjoy your games- there's no need to make outrageous claims to justify your love for it. The PS3 is a great system; there are plenty of its positives to talk about.

Gaming was much better during the PS2/Xbox era. I certainly remember buying more games back then.

OK. Cheap may have been a bad choice of words. The only point that I am trying to get across is that with a PS3, you get two completely different functioning components in a system for the price of either 1 game system or 1 blu-ray player.

I agree that blu-ray is overpriced at the moment. but if you want one now, the PS3 seems to be the way to go.

If you enjoy God of War, I have no idea how you can ignore Heavenly Sword. Just as equally good and if you haven't played it through, you've really missed out.

I loved God of War, played HS and didnt like it. I loved 2 ps3 games (Uncharted and the Show) and loved the fact that I could play Ps2 games i missed but inorder to do that you have to pay 100 bucks more.

FOOLS pay $60 for any kind of cables to hook up a console. I paid $20 for my HDMI cables at Sam's Club and you can find cheaper cables online.

I paid 7 for my cable on Ebay. Works perfectly.

Out of that list, I found Mass Effect, Bioshock, Forza2 and PGR (3 and 4) and Splinter CellA all top shelf games absolutely worth playing. I haven't had time to try some of the others.

It's banjo kazooie. While that was a fun franchise on the n64, Rare has taken a noticable step back since then. Honestly, it doesn't matter if the games are 5 star. How many 5 star titles did the first xbox have, or even the ps2 really. Only a handful of games can be considered 5 star. The 360 had a few of them last holiday.

The 360 has more variety of games right now. I own almost 10 ps3 games, but those are pretty much the only ones worth owning right now. The games argument is a bad one to try to use against the 360 or to make the ps3 look better.

I'm not into the whole PS3/Xbox360 games thing. You can easily find great titles for both systems if you look. But I still say we saw a better variety of 5 star titles in the PS2/Xbox era than we're currently getting now.

But aren't all those series being continued onto the 360/PS3?

Also, this generation isn't even over yet. You have God of War up there and it was definately towards the end of last-gen.

As a person who adores the God of War series (can't wait to get the PSP version), there was something that just didn't click with me and Heavenly Sword. I think a lot of it had to do with the storyline- I'm big into Greek/Roman mythology and, though not accurate, it was a great world to put the player into. I know it sounds lame in a game like God of War, but the story was really fun. The scale of the game was spectacular.

I don't like MGS but you better believe I'm going to try to get my PS3 back from my brother when God of War III drops!

Also, I know its piling on at this point, but no human being should pay $60 for HDMI cables. Monoprice > *

Regardless of a diamond encrusted Blue-Ray player being inside, the PS3 is still outrageously priced for a GAME MACHINE.

Let's see how much money I need to cough up just to buy the cheapest version, and MLB The Show 08.
