There's no need for that man... you ridiculously inflated prices and were called out on it, that's all.
Not everyone can afford a PS3, let alone video gaming... but trying to skew prices to justify your means isn't right. Others read the forums and as you can see they're smart consumers in noticing that your proposed expenses... well, don't need to be that expensive. Someone just bought a PS3 here for $299... Just ask for help finding a cheap price, don't go on a rant if you can't afford it. Guys here in the forums are more than willing to help you.

PS3 is a good system. I bought 1 a little after launch because Imma nerd and have to have things at a certain time . Kinda wish I had of waited but I don't regret it. PS3 just needs some more exclusives to show off its true power, because the multi-plats damn sure don't show it. All the PS3 exclusive games I have(Uncharted, motorstorm, the show 07-08, Resistance) I've loved. Everything else I buy for 360.

I bought a PS3 last year in June as a birthday present for myself. I also picked up MLB the show 97 and played it non-stop untill I picked up MLB 08 The Show. The PS3 is a great system and one of the most important things that I find is that I do not have to worry about the "3 rings of death" anymore. I had a 360 and it broke on me twice before I finally said enough is enough. Sold my 360 on E-Bay and have not looked back. Don't get me wrong, the 360 is a great system too with a lot of great games, but if the 360 keeps breaking down it becomes frustrating.

I'm a 360 owner, but I'm considering getting a ps3. The "it has no games," argument is starting to get really old. I'm sick of all of my xbox's breaking. At least I won't have to worry about that with a ps3.

My defense of Microsoft and the "Xbox era" has just about broken down. I had 3 Xboxes, none of them covered under warranty, and will be receiving my third Xbox 360 in about 3 weeks. (haven't got the shipping box for the latest busted one yet). PS3 is sounding awfully good right now.

Sorry to hear that jaybee... I feel your pain. Only busted on me once but knowing how often it happens to everyone else doesn't give me much hope. Even if they do cover it, to me it's not worth the stress and heartache over a video game system.

This thing should just work... not "work for a limited time" then you send it back to Microsoft so you can rinse, then repeat...

I have never, EVER had a piece of electronics that has caused me this much concern over its reliability... and I don't have that worry with the PS3. I've read of some people saying their Blu-Ray drive has died... but those comments are few and far between....

I never thought reliability would be a concern for me but apparently this generation of consoles... it should be for anyone.

well even so, I can see why people hold onto it. The ps3 lacks games and the online community the 360 has. I've even held onto games I got from gamefly just because there's nothing else out I want to play yet, basically pausing the gamefly service.

Recently, I've played burnout and mlb the show, and already own and beat uncharted and heavenly sword, but it looks that the next time I'll turn my ps3 on to play a game is when gta 4 comes out. I never had that problem with the 360.

Don't know why you're bored.... there's Warhawk, CoD4, R6:V2, DMC4, GT5:P... There's not much coming out for either system in the coming months.

well I only have a ps3 now, and beat cod4 on the 360. I never liked rainbow 6 vegas or devil may cry. There's just not enough games out to keep myself entertained. That's just me. I went from owning almost 30 games on the 360 to not even seeing 30 games worth playing on the ps3. I'm patiently waiting on GTA4 meanwhile.
