I second this. Many players don't realize there are degrees of speed using the LS stick. I use this on returns as well to set up blocks.

Red/Green boxes relates to the number advantage on that side of the field. If you have a green box on the left, you have more blockers than they have defenders on that side. If it's a red box, there are more defenders than blockers

You should definitely hit the Skills Trainer mode, man. It will explain that and a whole bunch more that you never knew.

Does this work on defense too? I always feel like I have a lack of control like my guy is getting away from me

How do you stop the crossing routes and the flats they seem more wide open than in madden 16. played a friend and he use the same play over and over with ease . I called every thing and the crossing routes and flats were still wide open.

Copy/Pasting this from the Little Things thread because I feel like it makes Practice mode 10x better, and is therefore relevant to this thread:

It's "Random Nickel" in the screenshot below (again, this is just one of the sections you can randomize):

It's significant because it still works the same as the old random play option, in that it will randomly select for each individual play. So if you want to practice specifically against different looks while matching personnel, you now have that option. Really nice addition, something I've wanted for a long time.
