It's definitely not lack of resources.

EA won't invest the resources to make it happen.

Which in turn means a lack of resources for them. No?

They're the GE of their industry. Amazon. They can do whatever they want to do.

They're making a choice. And that's fine, it is their right. At least the interview was transparent about what is happening. I respect THAT.

But it still burns that they're ignoring a very popular medium with FAR more potential than the consoles.

What gives it the added potential on PC are things like mods people make, which doesn't generate any revenue for EA. In addition there is always going to be some profit loss due to piracy which has never been easier then it is in todays day and age. Madden on PC may have more potential for the players but it definitely doesn't have more potential for EA - especially when you factor in the potential for sales in future years games to decline due to people being able to just upgrade the previous years game with mods (which again, are completely free).

I'd absolutely be thrilled with a PC version someday but I dont think any worse of EA for not having one available. Until they have the console versions completely nailed down and everyone competitive and sim is perfectly happy I dont think they should use resources on a PC version, and even if it ever does get to that point I really dont blame them for still not wanting to go the PC route due to the reasons mentioned above.

My thinking has always been that the more skilled players always user'd the dline as we rely on good defensive play calling. Oppose to those who user safety's & LB's as a way to make up for their poor defensive playcalling.

Don't know why you couldn't have both. In my experience the best users will control the MLB and call plays where they patrol the middle of the field because they can effectively cover two or even three guys, depending on routes, in that area.

For their team perhaps, but the dev team probably wouldn't be the ones deciding this so, no, not at the level the decision is being made. If 2K Sports can do it with a few of their titles, EA Sports really have no excuse in comparison. I think it's just a sign of a greater reluctance to invest in Madden - I mean the fact the team's resources are as low as they apparently are is a bit of a joke for one of probably two series (& FIFA) that has basically kept EA Sports above water.

And here it was a few years ago that people were cheering EA's stock was low, laying people off and Madden making less in sales.

You don't hear that much anymore.
