NBA 2K14 How's Your Association Going?

So the Bulls are 33-5 in my 30 team association. They've won 16 games in a row. This is WITH Rose because I started this association as soon as I got the game with Nogster's rosters. I am the Pacers and the only games I play our my own.

Do you guys sim mostly or play the actual games? And with what length? 12 min?

I play an adjusted schedule. 58 games, 6 min quarters. Just don't have the patience to sit through a 48 min basketball video game.

I play all of my games, 12 min superstar with some sliders and rosters off this forum....

Really enjoying my Phoenix Suns association. I picked up Greg Monroe in the off season after Detroit refused to match my offer to him. I also brought in Iman Shumpert to play alongside Bledsoe. I signed Anthony Morrow for some scoring punch off the bench. I am looking for a defensive centre and a backup playmaking PG. Kevin Seraphin backing up Monroe has been brilliant.

PG - Bledsoe
SG - Shumpert
SF - Green
PF - Monroe
C - Len

Ish Smith, Morrow, Tucker, Marcus Morris, Seraphin and Plumlee are the main backups but I want to also improve the bench.

Hi, new here.

Just finished my '13-14 Houston Rockets Association offline.

- 82 Game Season
- 11 Min. Qrtrs
- Player locked on Point Guard all season

I must say, I love this game. I was always a big critic on teammate A.I. if you were player-locked or controlling 1 player. But, this time around I have been caught completely off guard by how well my teammates react to each other and actually PREDICT the moves I want them to make by noticing an open teammate, giving up the ball if held too long, etc. etc.

I got all the way to the Finals, but ... Heat 4 - Houston 3
Heartbreaking Game 7 Loss to Miami at their house
Here's some season stats:
- J.Lin (Me) : 16/3/9 and 1.5 steals
- J.Harden : 22/4/7 and All-NBA 3rd / All-Star
- D.Howard : 23/13/3 and All-NBA 1st / All-Star / Defensive PoY
- Record : 63-19
- Miami's Record : 65-17 (inc. 30 game win-streak)
- Coach of the Year : McHale
- Worst Team : Kings
- CPU Trading : About 15+ trades throughout the season

I usually play around 1/3 to 1/2 of all my Association games.
I do this to play the "key" games I think are important.
I sim the rest of the games, and act as a GM at times.
So, essentially I play PG in games, but GM alot outside.
I found this to provide a very realistic gaming experience.

One big thing I pointed out was CPU trading amongst each other. I found an awesome improvement in that aspect while playing. Not ridiculous big name-trades, but sensible small to medium trades that were very realistic. In February at the trade deadline, I saw a good 6-7 trades from teams that were doing poorly that just made me smile.

P.S. Example of improved NBA 2K14 A.I. - I was trying to run a play for Harden on the left wing, but there was also a mismatch down-low on my Center. So, Harden started waving his hands and walking a little out-of-bounds telling me to go to the Right Wing. So, I did, and found the mismatch, easy score. All thanks to my A.I.-controlled Harden!
