Re: Will You buy NBA Live 18 IF it doesnt have Roster Editing(Editing Players) Option

I had to vote "No." If there is no roster editing in the game, then there's no buy from me. As intrigued as I am about Live and as much as I want to support competition, I will not willingly support inferior competition that's hasn't put out a game in nearly two years.

Nearly two years of development time on a title that's supposed to be annual, and they can't get a basic feature like roster editing in? Unacceptable.

I'm a diehard franchise guy -- online play has no appeal to me as far as sports titles go. I can't trust EA and whatever they determine as the proper rating for players; I don't do that with 2K. Both franchises have issues with tendencies/ratings/contracts/accessories that the development team has been unable to catch.

2K, at least, gives the community a wide-ranging set of tools to customize things to their liking and correct the mistakes they find.

If EA is unwilling or unable to give even a basic set of those tools, then that's a problem. Whatever else EA can offer, a complete lack of roster editing after two years off the market is ridiculous. Games dating back last century had basic roster editing features.

This is 2017, not 1987. EA needs to get with the times if they want to see my hard-earned dollars.

Madden and NHL both have roster editing and a sharing feature. This is the 4th live on next gen it's really unacceptable at this point

Negative. I have my complaints about 2k but I'm completely done with EA I don't think I will ever buy a game that they make again.

Would be disappointing but not a deal breaker

Yes. Gameplay looks great and we need another good game. 2k has gone to ****.

Roster Editing is expected in a Sports Game... if they can't figure that out, then that raises a huge Red Flag.

Live 16 was unplayable, they needed to take that year off to fix their mistakes... sounds like the only thing they're doing differently this year is hyping it up with YouTubers and Social Media Influencers.

Disappointing... I want Live to be great (grew up playing NBA Live), but they're making it difficult.

I agree completely with you. How can they not figure out basic roster editing for the game? NBA LIVE devs pretty much ignore the community as far as communication. The Madden Development team are constantly weighing in and communicating with the community. I see zero interaction from the Live team. I understand they can't speak on certain things but these boards have not been this active in years and I have yet to see any DEV drop in with insight or just say we hear you and are looking at it. By no means are they obligated to do so just seems like something that would be in the process of trying to build momentum for release.
