A good partnership and constant dialogue is definitely the goal. Any and all feedback, thoughts and ideas from the OS community is what I am on these boards for.

Welcome Jab_Step, I put in the request yesterday for your name color change

How's the atmosphere compared to Live 2009 as far as the crowd?

Are we going to have a sticky thread so when can ask questions or just ask in here?

Re: NCAA Basketball Producer Introduction

Welcome to OS Jab_Step...I certainly think the interaction with the EA guys on the OS boards over the past few months has added greatly to the final product - even if it is in a small way. By that I mean our contributions, although small in the overall scheme do add to the product.

One question I do have for you that I hope you can answer relates to the dynasty mode, and it's a one that myself and a lot of the other guys on OS are very keen on. Within dynasty can you select any game from any side's schedule to play/watch (as cpu v cpu for example) or are you just restricted to watching/playing your selected side's games? NCAA Football 09 does allow you to pick and choose any matchup/bowl game for that week, so hopefully the basketball title will follow suit.

I certainly feel that having the ability to select games from other team's schedules adds to the immersion factor in the game. It allows you to watch the big matchups that you wouldn't otherwise be involved in, plus if you don't make the tournament or are knocked out it gives the user the freedom to still watch/play the tournament games rather than just being told who has won it.

So, does this make it into NCAA Basketball for this year - if not, is it too late to put it in? I certainly hope it is already in there as I'm sure there will be a lot of disappointed guys on here if it isn't.

My fingers are crossed.

Thanks very much for your time.

How's the atmosphere compared to Live 2009 as far as the crowd?

-NCAA has student sections with unique student section placement by venue. The student sections also have unique animations and coloring
-We have our own crowd models
-We have 300+ crowd chants that have the animation synced to the audio
-We have bands with unique placement by venue
-We have crowd members with props.
-The atmosphere has a higher intensity than that of an NBA game
-Crowd/environment lighting is brighter to better showcase the atmosphere
-Varying types of crowd audio depending on venue size. So if you’re playing in the Carrier Dome it sounds much different than it does at Cameron indoor.
-Variable attendance, band and number of cheerleaders depending on school pride. We also don’t have commentary at schools with low school pride. You can build up your school pride as per real life.
-Home and away crowds for tournament games.

Sounds awesome, that definitely got me more excited for this years game. I'm guessing I won't be hearing commentators at my Wright State games sicne they're not a big program. As long as they have their new jerseys I'll definitely be fine with it.
