Re: Dynasty updates!

I agree definitely keep us posted countryboy. I'm interested to see how you finish your season.

I'll probably post in here every time I'm done with a game in my Wake dynasty.

Re: Dynasty updates!

Wow Cal-Stat Fullerton gave me a challenge in the opening round of the Anaheim Classic but in the end I was just to much.

Wake wins 78-68.

Re: Dynasty updates!

The Georgetown Hoyas opened up the season playing at the Verizon Center against Krob's Jacksonville Dolphins and beat them handedly 94-78. The Dolphins gave us a run for their money in the first but just couldn't stay with it as our bench is simply deeper. Jessie Sapp had 23 points and 3 steals to lead our half-court style attack.

After a similar game against Drexel (70-58 win), we went into the Old Spice Classic facing the Wichita State Shockers at the Disney Complex. Again our bench just out-matched the Shockers as they didn't even include their big in the game. Georgetown starting center Greg Monroe won the battle of the freshman bigs, limiting Garrett Stutz to only 10 points.

We then faced a very up-tempo Tennessee Volunteer team who were hot and cold all game and still kept it close. John Thompson III's strategy was to keep the Vols off-balance, off the boards and sticking to the half-court to curtail their speed and quickness. Being up by 12 with around 3 minutes to play the Vols came storming back while the Hoya free throws stopped dropping. A last second three ball was missed and Georgetown escaped to the finals in the Old Spice Classic, where they would face Gonzaga.

Gonzaga's senior point man
Jeremy Pargo went off on Gtown's sophomore PG Chris Wright to the tune of 24 points and 6 assists. Gtown got into big foul trouble as both their bigs PF DaJaun Summers and Monroe each had 4 fouls with 7 minutes remaining. With about 4 minutes remaining, Gtown was within 4 when Pargo drained a wide-open three and the Bulldogs rolled from there winning the tourney 82-70.

Gtown's (4-1) next game is against American at the Verizon Center in the battle for Washington D.C. Currently, Georgetown leads the series 41-8 and are winners of the last 5 meetings between the two squads. The last American Eagles win was way back in 1982. This could be a possible trap game for the Hoyas being as they play #5 Memphis Tigers the following week.

If any of you are old enough to remember Paul Westhead's days at Loyola Marymount, then you might enjoy my dynasty.

Re: Dynasty updates!

Wow just played St. Marys in the semi-final of the Anaheim Classic.

Started out terrible getting down 24-10 because I wasn't used to their real up-tempo style of ball.

Adjusted properly and wound up winning 96-81.
