Re: Max Wolters | FIFA Coaching Career

Stlducks History against
Record: 1-0-1 GD -2

Pre-Match
The R’s have dominated the last two matches with a total scoreline of 9-0 and have a great chance to continue that run against 11th place Wolve at Loftus Road. Wolters switched back to his normal 5-2-1-2 formation bringing the wing backs back into play. Smithies is in goal looking for his 3rd straight clean sheet since returning from injury. Furlong and Garmston are the wing backs who had last week off. Aidoo, Onuoha and Lynch are the three middle men with Onomah, Da Silva Lopes and Freeman in midfield. Mackie is getting that start again as the right striker as he looks to score in three straight while Sylla gets the nod over Adams for left striker.

0’ Kickoff QPR in the home blue and white start us off and right away turn possession over to Wolves. A long shot from distance goes over the bar as the first shot of the match comes half a minute in!
25’ SAVE Mackie almost got his goal! Quick reaction from Jack Butland to rush off his line to meet the striker in the middle of the box, Butland was too close for Mackie to get the shot around him and his deflected shot goes over the bar for a corner.
36’ GOAL Sylla (assisted by Furlong)
It was too easy! After both sides wasted chances in the box, QPR finally come through with the matches first goal and it was poor defending to say the least. Furlong took the ball down as far as he could to the touch line before crossing in front of goal where Sylla was all alone for the easy header.
43’ GOAL J. Onomah (assisted by Garmston)
A crushing blow to Wolves who have fought hard to stay in this one but now find themselves 2 down right before the half. Just like the first goal, it was the wing back sending the cross in, Onomah found space behind the defense and sent a powerful header past Butland who has performed well to this point.

51’ SAVE. A triple save by Butland! The England international is doing everything to keep his side in this one. First diving to his right to knock Onomah’s shot away, then recovering to push the follow up shot from Mackie off the post and finally catching the last shot from Onomah again as the midfield stuck a toe out trying to poke it in.
53’ GOAL Sylla
Sometimes this game is just cruel and that is how it feels for Butland right now. Saving everything sent his way as he has been under attack the last 30 minutes until the first mistake he makes ends up as a goal for QPR. Butland dove down to stop a cross right as a defender ran in front of him, the ball bounced off the blinded keeper and hit Sylla’s foot to deflect into the net.

57’ GOAL R. Neves (assisted by Saiss)
Wolves pull one back off lazy defending by QPR. Saiss dribbles along the edge of the box before finding Neves standing at the penalty spot all alone. Neves had enough time to receive the pass, turn around and pick his spot before any defenders reacted. Still 2 down but it is all Wolves at the moment.
72’ SAVE. Big save by Smithies as QPR are clinging to a 3-1 lead with Wolves pushing everyone forward. It was Neves again, this time volleying the cross waist high but Smithies was able to get a glove on it and push the ball around the post.
83’ GOAL. S. Adegbenro
That will do it. Adams shot bounced off the post right to the feet of Adegbenro for the 2 yard tap in. Wolves felt like they were going to score again but QPR’s defense held tight before adding another goal and now the fight from the away side seems to have died away.
90+2’ Full Time. The match was much tighter than the 4-1 score shows but QPR will be happy with the three points. Wolves had a chance in the second half where they looked in control but couldn’t find the second goal to really put the pressure on.

“Three matches in a row with at least 4 goals since the defeat to Fulham. I am more pleased with the defense as we seem to have found a star in Aidoo who is really taking control of the backline and everything else is falling into place.”

Re: Max Wolters | FIFA Coaching Career

QPR defender Aidoo has been named player of the month for October. Aidoo has played in 15 games this season including 6 clean sheets with an average rating of 7.20.

Stlducks History against
Record: 2-0-0 GD 3

Pre-Match
Four straight wins for QPR as they sit 3rd in the table with 30 points and are only behind Norwich due to GD. Nottingham Forest are 14th in the table with 18 points. Smithies is back in goal after having the last match off with Ssewankambo and Garmston as the wing backs. Aidoo is back in after being awarded play of the month for October alongside Baptiste and Robinson. Onomah, Adegbenro and Luongo are the midfield with a pair of Sylla and Adams as the striker combo.

0’ Kickoff First match of November is underway on this cloudy day in Nottingham. Forest are starting out in what looks to be a 4-2-3-1. A win for QPR today moves them to the top of the table.
5’ Cleared off the line! Murphy for sure thought he had a goal there but Aidoo came from nowhere to make a diving clearance as the ball was just on the line. The resulting corner was cleared away for a QPR break but Sylla’s attempt was right into the chest of the of Forest keeper.
27’ GOAL M. Luongo (assisted by S. Adegbenro)
A nice spell of possession for QPR as they move the ball around the pitch with ease. Adegbenro goes right at the Forest LB forcing him into the box before sending a pass across the front of the goal for Luongo to toe poke into the net. They made it look easy but this match has been an even affair to this point.
42’ SAVE! Ssewankambo finds Sylla in the middle of the box but Kapino is there to push his shot away before Hobbs clears it down field. Big chance missed for QPR!
Halftime. Even first half as each side had a few chances to score but QPR have the only goal of the night so far. If the last few matches are any indication, Forest will have their hands full in the second half as QPR do most of their scoring around the 60 minute mark.
48’ GOAL Bridcutt
Forest strike first in the second half! QPR fail to clear a cross that has Smithies scrambling outside the six yard box. Bridcutt chests the ball down and takes a dribble to his right to find space before firing his shot into the empty top corner. GAME ON!

SAVE! Kapino rushed off his line to slide tackle Adams just as the pacey striker is about to shoot, knocking the ball away and taking down the attacker on a clean slide.
57’ GOAL Sylla
The away side are back on top as Sylla follows up his first attempt to beat the keeper on his second shot. Kapino did well to knock down the first attempt but the deflection when right back to the striker who chipped it over the helpless keeper on the floor.
68’ GOAL Murphy (assisted by Dowell
The back and forth match continues as Forest respond with a goal to make it 2-2. Dowell chased down the miss played cross into the left corner and sent a lofty cross to the far post where Murphy was waiting and headed in the goal to level it.

83’ Miss! What a chance for Dowell! He thought he had more time to get the shot off but Aidoo came from behind to slide in and just push him off balance as his shot went wide of the post.
88’ BLOCK! That could be a game saving block as Bridcutt put his body on the line to stop Mackie’s shot from going on target. Only minutes remaining as the home side stacks the box trying to hang on.
90+2’ Full Time. They did it! Nottingham were able to see out the 2-2 draw to earn a hard fought point that many did not expect them to pull out. QPR have to feel like a chance slipped away tonight as they could have moved to the top of the table with a victory.

“It was a very hard match, both sides went at it. I wish we finished a few more chances but their defenders put it all on the line tonight and it showed. I’m not worried about the table position at this point, we are near the top and not even halfway through the season. Plenty of time to make a run.”

Stlducks History against
Record: 1-0-1 GD 1

Pre-Match
Big test for QPR as we approach the halfway mark of the season. Swansea City are in a three way tie at the top of the table with 33 points while QPR are 5th with 31 points. Andre Ayew has 8 goals in 16 matches for Swansea, QPR are led by Mackie with 6 goals in 13 matches. Mackie finds himself in the starting lineup today as the R’s come out in a three striker set. Only one change in defense from the last match with Onuoha coming in for Lynch. Smithies, Ssewankambo, Aidoo, Baptiste and Garmston stay in. Onomah and Adegbenro are in control of midfield with Sylla, Mackie and Adams in the attack.

0’ Kickoff Cloudy day in London as we get this big match started. QPR wearing the white and blue with Swansea in their away red.
6’ Miss Mackie almost added his team leading 7th goal of the season but his header went just wide of the post. Garmston found space on the wing and sent a cross in to Mackie who looked offside but the flag stayed down.

28’ Miss Much like Mackie’s miss at the start of the game, Garmston was left alone on the left wing and had plenty of time to set up and send in a cross. This time it was Adams putting a head to it but his shot goes just over the bar. Very relaxed defending by Swansea early on.
64’ Miss Swansea’s best chance to score misses to the right of the post by inches! Both sides have had plenty of possession and a few chances but neither are able to find the net. Sergio Alvarez looked to be in but rushed his shot and missed the target.
78’ GOAL C. Adams (assisted by S. Adegbenro)
The goal was coming and it finally arrived! A big mistake by Fernandez as he tried stopping the pass back but the ball bounced right over his foot for Adams to poke in from four yards out. Major blow to the Swansea defense who have been phenomenal so far.

82’ GOAL J. Mackie (assisted by C. Adams)
Game, set and match at Loftus Road as QPR have taken full control of the match these last 10 minutes. Now they have doubled their lead with 8 minutes to go. It was Jamie Mackie, the veteran striker came close a few times but was denied, this time he got the best of the Swansea keeper and increased his team leading tally to 7 goals.
90+1’ Full Time. The fans are going crazy at Loftus Road as QPR have moved up to 3rd in the table with today’s victory. It was a big match with a lot of hype, the excitement was not there for the full 90 minutes but each team gave it their all and the fans got to see a thrilling finish.

“Great shift from all the boys tonight. This was a match you need your big guns to step up and Adams, Sylla and Mackie were terrific. The defense was great as it has been all season led by Aidoo. This is the type of game we need to continue to win to take points off other sides around us in the table.”

Re: Max Wolters | FIFA Coaching Career

Derby QPR face Derby County as the R's look to continue their run and fight for a spot at the top of the table. Things started out well for the London side as Da Silva Lopes scored in the 21st minute to give them the lead. But the momentum shifted soon after as Derby responded with a Wisdom goal in the 31st minute and took the lead in the 35th minute from Lawrence's free kick goal.

with a 2-1 lead at the half, Derby sat back playing on the counter as QPR pushed forward trying for a point. The all out attack back fired against Wolters' side as Derby added another to their lead in the 54th minute when Vydra out jumped Aidoo to put his head to the ball off a corner.

"It was a rough night all around for us. Some defensive mistakes, our attack was off and from the start I think we had the tactics wrong. All of us were off today and that is on me, as the manager I need to make sure we are ready to go and lined up correctly. Tonight we weren't."

Two simulated matches

4 points from these two matches is not what QPR were hoping for and more importantly, the injury to Smithies will really put them in a hole. The starting keeper is out 5 months with a broken tailbone. Ingram will be replacing Smithies in the lineup as Wolters will have to look for a 3rd keeper to become the new backup.
