Re: Most complete PF today

Aldridge is certainly a more complete player than Griffin imo

Griffin is too limited offensively right now to be ranked highly as a complete player imo

You have him way too much for defensive rebounding. 2 would be generous. Also I can't co-sign the 4 for creating his own shot. Guys like Love, Randolph, Nowitzki (recently), Jefferson, West are 4's. Aldridge's offense depends a lot on his team, whether it's alley oops or pick n pops. But when they do get him the ball he is very consistent.

Clearly the T-Wolves don't vote for Love here.

Why do I feel like this thread was just made bc Aldridge wasn't included in the title of the "Love vs Griffin" thread?

To me aldridge seems to play like dirk back when the Mavs kept losing in the playoffs. He kind of goes with the flow and receives whatever is given to him versus taking it. LA's able to shoot over his defenders and honestly catching an alley oop isn't that hard when your defender is guarding the ball handler. Griffin plays like he has no regard for human life, and kevin love just has an insane work ethic - both players put in 100% in their 36 minutes. I still can't say the same for aldridge at this point in his career.

Love is already the best PF in the league.

Blake might end up being better down the road, but right now he is still too raw.

Re: Most complete PF today

im not sure if youd label him a 3 or a 4, but i think josh smith has to be in this convo.. of everyone mentioned hes the best defender, he runs the floor just as well as griffin an his athleticism is comparable, he can pass, an inside the paint he really is a handful, hes nowhere near love in terms of outside shooting but then neither is blake or LA

How can Love even be in contention when his team has never had a winning record? In a league where one guy can change everything, it is unacceptable to be below .500.

If Love can make the playoffs we can talk about him being the best PF in the game.

My vote is for Dirk. He was the only constant for the Mavs team that won 50 games a year for 10+ years.
