Re: NFL Off Topic

At this point, Johnny should aspire to having the career of ... Matt Leinart.

In related news, Ray Farmer scouted Jared Goff at the Cal vs. Stanford game in person.

That is, of course, just an assumption. But everything points to that making more sense than "randomly benched for hanging out with friends". I don't see him voluntarily checking himself into rehab for legal drug abuse if there wasn't a strong push of it costing him a huge opportunity if he didn't do so (especially since his current behavior the last few months shows he doesn't really want to stop drinking).
So now that more information has been leaked, the benching makes sense.

Johnny is like a teenager lying to his parents for no good reason.

I also read a story saying Ray Farmer talked to Connor Cook's high school coach so it looks like the Browns are ready to move on from Mccown and Manziel.

The weird thing to me is we've come to know Manziel as always saying the right thing to get out of stuff, smooth talking his way to freedom, why did that suddenly stop?

Re: NFL Off Topic

I read an article saying how the TNF rights are up and that Apple should bid for it. Could you imagine TNF not on tv and streaming only? That would suck pretty bad.

I've heard that the NFL is angling for internet distribution. Honestly I think that's going too far. You'd probably have to pay through the nose for what amounts to a crappy schedule of games.
