Some of this stuff is still happening as of yesterday. I know I downloaded a 2MB patch when I put the game in. I assume that was the patch.

This happened to me yesterday (Base runner trying to steal 2nd on 0-2 count, ball in dirt and batter swung and struck out, went to cut scene and runner was at 2nd base when the next batter came up:

- Fix rare problem where a base runner would be moved to the next base when the play ended.

I've seen several people complain and post videos about this though I haven't seen it happen:

- Fix a rare bug where the same batter comes to bat after the pitcher was injured while on offense.

I assume this is in reference to going through the wall to catch a homerun, recording an out and a homerun at the same time. I've heard people still having issues with this as well though it hasn't happened to me
:

- Fix problems where the player would go part way through a wall while making a catch or throw.

- Fix problem where the player was playing the incorrect wall climb for the height of the wall.

- Improve the wall climb detection so wall climbs are more likely to play if the ball is possibly playable.

I"m re reading it, but I don't see anything about the player fatigue issue in franchise :/

I didn't either. Makes sense though, it wasn't widely discovered until after release.

Yesterday Ronnie at 2k acknowledged that the fatigue bug was new. He also stated that the HR robbing bug was fixed for some robbing animations, but was apparently missed for others.

Sounds like we're probably another patch away from having a fully playable game (I think it's fair to say that the HR/Out issue can be a game changer and the fatigue bug can be a franchise breaker). Once again, it'll probably be a month+ after release until we get the game that should be expected and that is free of a major and somewhat common game impacting bug.

I don't have the game yet but I'm a little confused about this:
Fix problem with contract amounts that was causing some low budget teams to occasionally run out of money 10+ years into the franchise.

I keep reading that players aren't getting big enough contracts so that there won't be many free agents because everybody has enough money to resign their guys.

# 7 pagodacrockett @ 03/09/11 07:02 PM
Quick question. Is there a way to get the patch somewhere else and put it on a flash drive? i don't have internet at home.

These contract "issues" people are seeing are coming up after 1-2 simmed seasons. Not 10+.

On the human controlled team the players do not fatigue from day to day if you manually play the games. For instance your starting pitcher will pitch a game and the next day he will have a fatigue of 99 (no fatigue loss). Position players are the same to my understanding. The players on the CPU controlled teams fatigue properly and all players, both human and CPU, fatigue properly if you simulate the game.

If this is 1.1, doesn't that imply that this is a patch that has YET to come? The one on release day would have been 1.0. Am I missing something?

Depending on how they do their numbering, the release version of the game probably would have been v1.0. Then the release day patch makes it v1.1.

Ok, but then it's game version 1.1. Not patch 1.1.

"52" fixes? so what the hell did i buy? The best of BONEY-M dvd?
That is so brutal! So i guess everybody is liking the extended DEMO for $60.
Wow; and that's only patch ver1.1. this is getting ridiculous.
It blows my mind away; how these companies can ship, and release a game; charge me full price and still not give me a complete game with at least 1/4 of the bugs; but 52 fixes in only the first version; this should be telling US something here!!!!!!!!! Looks like a rush job to me; and i am not getting what i really paid for. good luck to you all.

Ronnie, from Twitter several days ago:

Ronnie2K: Been informed that since #MLB2K11 PC was submitted later than console, the PC version will have almost all the tweaks the day one patch has

He didn't get any more specific than that.

As for an actual answer to your question....if past history of 2k PC patches is any indication, you're better off not asking (or even thinking about it until it's announced).

It won't be anytime soon, that's for sure.

I understand; thank you. Day-one patch was included in the pc release and consoles received a second-patch v1.1, got it .

I couldn't agree more. Little things that the developers want to tweak with patches is fine - but huge things like no fatigue in franchise? I'm sorry, but that's inexcusable.

Being a long time player of The Show, I was considering trying 2K this year instead for the first time since 2K3. But when I read how the first patch has over 50 fixes, none of which includes something as big as the fatigue bug, I finally realize the community's frustration with 2K.

2K11 didn't release on March 8th - the beta did. In all likelihood, those who bought the game will have to wait another month before everything is fixed. No wonder The Show is kicking their *** every year.

They've done this to us for at least four years in a row now, and that's why I have decided not to buy this year (meaning that I'm going without video baseball, since I don't have PS3). I'm sick of 2K releasing unfinished games and making us wait a month or more to maybe patch some of the stuff that's totally broken in the game. It's astounding how many of the bugs and glitches being reported in 2K11 were also present in last year's game, or the year before that. It's just unacceptable. I'm through paying $60 on release day to be 2K's beta tester.

The only way I'll consider buying this year is if all of the bugs get fully patched and I can get the game for around $30 before the end of April. Otherwise, I'm done with 2K and their crap every year.
