I love you, THANKS

The ball physics look incredible. The 3 hopper to Andrus looked natural, as well as Abreu getting inside on his foul ball.

Is it me or does the sound of the ball leaving the bat sounds different? I really love it, still not sure if that's an addition or it's just because it's a video

I'm pretty sure the sounds in the game have been revamped.

Its new.

Sony added all new sounds for ball off the bat and ball into the glove
‘MLB 12 The Show’ video game to feature sounds of the Storm

The commentary is the same, some of the exact same dialogue, hopefully more will be added, but really one would be hard pressed to tell the difference between 11 and 12 from this video. Game looks almost identical

your joking

I don't see the big deal, it all looks pretty much the same to me!

Just kidding . That bouncing liner thing to left looked exactly like it should, and the fielders definitely act more... fieldery. Especially on that very last play across the diamond. No dance-step attempts, just a beautiful and fluid sequence of reach, scoop, and throw. Amazing.

to be fair they couldnt go 100% new commentary.
Besides some of the stuff is just generic banter that u need to fill the gaps.
I mean how many ways can u call a hit to left field? plus its 162 game season.
repetition is inevitable, even if it was all new.
in a real televised game the guys call a grounder to first probably the exact way or close to it every time, for the most part.

There will be much to be pumped about in terms of commentary this year from what we are hearing from Russ and Slab.

that being said, its still behind the times for a game in 2012.

as far as looking identical, the OSDs are all new, also new TBP cutaways between pitches and after.
Player models and basic graphics< does it really even need to improve? any changes on the ps3 at this stage would be minimal.

Nothings excites me honestly with that video. I was hoping to hear some new commentary and it still feels disjointed to me. We still get that infamous line from Karros about how the pitcher bettter bear down because the team can still put something together with two outs. The generic commentary sounds so stale. Yes, there were added lines, but far from real sounding broadcast.

Besides the cut away shots to the pitcher and batter, which is a cool addition, I was rather underwhelmed.

Looked good from my seat. Kinsler looks better (still doesn't have much of his curly hair) and Holland has the Dutchstashe. The ball physics and glove work look a lot better too.

# 15 MetsFan16 @ 01/18/12 07:07 PM
You can really see how Derrek Holland's glove closes when he recieves the throw back. BEAUTIFUL

You guys also need to realize that this is an early build from CES.

# 17 sandmac @ 01/18/12 07:31 PM
Well, the commentary still sounds totally lifeless and disconnected. That's a serious shame seeing as how much presentation has been touted recently and the crowds are still so artificial and juiced. Crowds don't "GASP" & "BOO" base hits by the opposing team, c'mon... lol.

On the plus side, the cutaways are fantastic.

I love this game and still play '11 on a regular basis. That being said, I'm still in the early stages on whether or not to spend another 60 bones on this game. I may decide just to keep and play '11. SCEA has done a super job and there is just not that much that can be improved upon in the game play department, imo of course.

I watched the video and while it is great I didn't see that much of a difference from it and what I have in "11. An early build? Most likely but..........

Will wait and see, it's still early, but right now I'm not sure if I would spend the money on the upgrades I've seen so far.

I disagree... new camera cuts, better pitching throwing motions, much improved ball physics and bat sounds... and the video cuts out before we can see the new presentation between innings.

Also, I LOVE the new batting angle and slowed down pitch speed.

i am fearful of this being the case as well, tho I will wait to see the blog on this and some later vids to see how the commentary shakes out. This was a 50% presentation complete build according to Russell.

as far as this video tho, hard to tell because it didnt lend itself to being a good opportunity to see what the new commentary has to offer.
franchise is where that will show.
