EA SPORTS UNVEILS NCAA FOOTBALL 13 PLAYBOOK #1: SIGHTS & SOUNDS

April 2, 2012 – The first EA SPORTS NCAA Football 13 playbook, “Sights & Sounds”, is now available on the NCAA Football 13 playbook page. The Sights & Sounds playbook delivers new presentation and audio assets and offers unique insights directly from the art and audio teams.

SIGHTS
With new trophy presentations, motion blur rendering, progressive lighting and an expanded broadcast presentation, NCAA Football 13 brings a defined sense of realism to light up game days. Pre-game traditions feature several new schools, including:
  • Purdue Boilermaker run-out
  • Military parachutists for Army, Navy and Air Force
  • Oklahoma State Paddle Fans
  • Texas Cheerleaders
  • USC Song Girls
NCAA Football 13 delivers the passion and excitement of college football to fans across the nation.

SOUNDS
The NCAA Football 13 audio team sent audio directors and designers to more than 20 schools across the nation to capture the energy of game days, recording new crowd chants and stadium buzz. Commentary has been improved with genuine dialogue and unscripted banter between Kirk Herbstreit and Brad Nessler, following a new recording process that blurs the line between virtual football commentary and true broadcast presentation.

Developed in Orlando, Florida by EA Tiburon, and licensed by The Collegiate Licensing Company, a division of IMG College, NCAA Football 13 will be available on the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system on July 10. NCAA Football 13 is available for pre-order now. For more information about NCAA Football 13, please visit http://www.ea.com/ncaa-football.

I got really excited when i saw UMass at the 35 second mark against Ohio, then I realized they're joining the MAC this year

So far sounds good but man...I swear on 17april if no mention of special teams and penalties are made...no buy...plain and simple. As for the video...its comforting to know a bunch of emphasis has been made to ensure that Texas cheerleaders and USC girls look freaking hot, but as for the player models, shoulder pads and pants...not a thing. They still look pretty bad.

Three clips of "gameplay" and I'm already starting to cringe a bit. But, it's extremely early, and that's not what this video was intended to show, so I won't say anything more. There'll be plenty of time to talk about gameplay on the 17th.

Graphics look slick. Motion blur really could be a cool element to the look of the game, as long as it's not overdone.

Nice to see the same generic faces for all players still hasn't been upgraded. SMH EA. SMH.

So according to you the wrongs weren't repeated and stale commentary, not crowd noise or chants.. no it was the socks are too short. Seriously? I agree with you that the socks are wrong but I NEVER notice them in a game. Besides that is something that you can do yourself.

0:36 mark top right corner.

Pass rusher beats a block but is off balanced. Still he turns on a dime (nearly 180) and lays out the QB in perfect stride.

Deal breaker and it's only April. Looks like another year of NCAA 2007 on the Xbox

Uniforms for both teams better get and stay fully dirty and full field degradation as well or NO BUY!! And I don't want to hear about patches after the release for these should be already in the game on release day.

I agree. IMO NCAA has never had a problem looking good though. Good to see them working on new crowd noise as it was very tame last year...

The fact that the coaches still have headsets on during post-game activities worries me, a lot. And the D-lineman performance that was pointed out earlier doesn't help either.

I know these are small things, but it shows that EA is just putting forth minimal effort and using last years game and just adding more stuff. And we all know how that turned out...

Not sold just yet, there's STILL alot to be improved upon. Although there were some nice tidbits they showed in the video.

That play really stuck out with me too. Very worrisome.

Makes me wonder if the other 3 new teams joining the FBS will be in the game. The reason I am so curious is because I attend the University of South Alabama, and they are joining soon. It would be nice to see them added this year.

It wouldn't make much sense to only put one one of the 4.
