Here it is, our first glimpse of NBA Live 13 in action.

Thoughts?

UPDATE: EA has taken down the video. Look through the comments section and you might be able to see a few pop up there, until they are removed as well.

looks better than elite but thats not saying much. what stage of the game is the video in? it looks like a game from 5 years ago

I just found the video on youtube today I don't know if EA Sports confirmed it the footage looks like it's from a early build of the game.

Lebron is iceskating at the 4:00 mark when posting up a player.

I like the spacing. I don't like the way the players move or defend, seems like they aren't even defending, just standing there. It looks really weird and off.

Also all the jumpshots are the same, look at Durant everytime he takes a shot. It's the same movement everytime, no fadeaways or going sideways or getting pushed back by a defender. He doesn't even create space, the shot just goes even when there is someone right in front of him. The way the ball goes through the rim, looks too "scripted" in a way. Not natural/realistic enough.

After 2 years I thought EA sports would have made a better come back. Of course, we don't know (??) how old this footage is or what stage the game is at. But if this is almost a final build, I'm not buying it.

It looks great. The Presentation is solid it feels just like the real coverage. I thought the passing looked good and some of the animations were good too but I did notice the ai acted funny on D, seemed like Kevin Durant was sliding. It does look like an early build, no menu music or ads and I don't think I saw Ray Allen on the heat roster. I thought Id never see this day I'm glad something is finally being shown to us.

Presentation is nice, court's look nice, graphics are improved... but I'm not feeling the gameplay.

This looks bad. EA Basketball games all feel the same they just look clunky in the way they play.

I lasted four minutes before I just threw in the white towel. I couldn't take any more. No rope-a-dope was saving me from this mess.

I mean damn, watching videos for "that other game" and then watching this makes you think you're watching video of a basketball game from the PS2 days. It's just sad and a complete lost cause at this point.

Bless the poor souls who purchase this game. That is, assuming it actually becomes available for purchase.

I can't believe I watched 6 minutes of that. I know it may be a early build but, man. The sliding is horrible, a lot of the passes looked like crap, the rebounding looked off, the way the ball bounced on missed shots was bad, dribbling looked cumbersome at times, there was minimal reaction by the players to any of the bumps they took.

Really the only thing they have going for them is the ESPN presentation, and even that isn't really up to the competition's level.

I see now why EA went into blackout mode when it comes to this game. I can't honestly see them releasing it and trying to justify a $60 price tag. That would be some damn highway robbery if that were to be the case.

I'm glad that there is finally some media on Live 13, but this video can't be good for EA...The presentation was nice, gameplay and player movement was suspect. Jump shots, passing and handling looked generic. I'm hoping that it's a SUPER early build and that they have made MAJOR progress since then.

what did i just watch ? the shooting was awful... the presentation was brilliant but the graphics were bad and the commentry was the worst
