How to make a dent in my backlog of games?

I was looking at my gaming library and it is ridiculous how many games I have. I don't know when I am going to find time to play them all with a busy work schedule, spending time with my wife and other interests.

I've got 6 games (not counting sports games) on my 360, 7 on my PS3 and a good 30 titles between my Vita, 3DS and DSi.

Yep, you read that right. I, along with my wife, will be heading out to Pasadena, Calif., to attend the 2014 BCS National Championship between my Florida State Seminoles and AuburnAlumni's overrated (j/k, Drew!) Auburn Tigers.

NBA 2K14: Narrowing down my team choices for Association

In an effort to keep things fresh with NBA 2K, I am avoiding using the legend/classic trams/rosters, and will just use the current-day, shipped roster for 2K14.

I am a Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder fan (yes, I know they reside in the same division but I have good reason to like both teams), but want to avoid using them this year. Perusing the rosters, I've come up with the following teams I would like to run with:

EA's football games: I can't do it anymore

Yesterday I enjoyed a rare day off from work. With my free time, I decided to spend part of it playing some video games, since I've really had to cut that out of my schedule during the week.

I popped NCAA 14 into my 360 and 10 minutes later, shut the game off. I just can't take these EA football games anymore. They are so boring! Dead crowd, beyond stale commentary and no real sense of drama in the games that you play.

NBA 2K13 roster, which one for Association?

Hey all,
Looking to finally start my NBA 2K13 Association, and need some help settling on a roster. 2K Share is a mess this year, hard to know what roster works and what doesn't. I have no issues downloading an offline file.

My question, which of the rosters posted here on OS has the best GAMEPLAY and sim stats? I'm not too concerned with shoes and accessories; I'd rather the game play as realistically as possible.

I did it!

"It" is play all 162 games in an MLB season in MLB The Show. I accomplished this feat using the New York Mets in MLB 12 The Show on both the PS3 and PS Vita (thank goodness for cross-saves!).

I started my franchise around June 10 last year. I tried to play as frequently as I could, but between starting a new job, getting ready to move and getting sidetracked with other games from time to time, it took me just over a year to actually finish every game.

Trying to find my way with MLB 13 The Show

Yesterday I played MLB 12 The Show, immediately followed by MLB 13 The Show. While I've had my issues with MLB 13, it is clearly the better game. The hit variety, faster game time (MLB 12 can sometimes take forever between pitches with the broadcast camera cuts), improved score bug and refined graphics make the game worth the price of admission.

I've already documented my issues with The Show Live, so I won't re-hash that.

Why is The Show Live getting a free pass from OS'ers?

I purchased MLB 13 The Show primarily for The Show Live mode. For years I had hoped that SCEA would drum up a mode similar to 2K's MLB Today. With MLB 13, gamers like me finally had the opportunity to play along with the real MLB calendar.

I've spent a good deal of time in this mode and to categorize The Show Live as anything less than a colossal failure is a gross understatement.

EA really grinds my gears with Madden 13

So, the second Madden 13 patch was released today and was overall a "meh" patch.

But, for the OFFLINE gamer, the patch did next to NOTHING, especially as it relates to Connected Careers.

XP points are still screwed up. Coaching schemes don't stick. Auto subs don't work. Sliders operate differently in CC than they do in Play Now. CPU Playcalling is trash, especially in the 4th quarter. Still can't choose Zoom or Broadcast Camera and yep, you guessed it, you are still ... Read More

Yeah, I said it.

Default sliders.

I'm sure there are a lot of people reading this and thinking, how can he actually enjoy NCAA 13 without changing all of the sliders? Doesn't he know that EA's game is broken beyond repair?

Maybe ignorance is bliss, or I'm just fed up with the never-ending rat race of chasing that "perfect set." I have played on default Heisman since NCAA 13 was released and I've had a wide variety of games.

Time to stop being overly critical of videogames

I'm tired of it.

"It" is what seems to permeate through the Madden and NCAA boards this time of year. Whenever EA Sports releases a gameplay video of its upcoming game, we here at OS begin to immediately dissect the clip to no end, until each and every flaw is exposed.

FIFA 12 & FIFA Soccer = an amazing gaming experience

OK, I've said it before and I'll say it again; I'm not what you would call a soccer fan, more a casual observer of the sport. I couldn't tell you what teams play in what leagues, unless I was looking at the breakdown in the game or the Internet, have no idea what championships the teams play for and outside of a handful of players, I don't know who plays for what teams.

MLB 12 The Show: need an AL team

Last year, I had a blast using Seattle in Franchise Mode. As a Mets/Rockies fan, I enjoy playing in the AL, as the DH really changes my strategy.

I'm looking at 4 AL teams for this year:
Baltimore
Toronto
Minnesota
Kansas City

I like the unis, home field and for a few, the minor league pipeline. Just am having a hard time narrowing it down to one team.

Any suggestions?

As many of you know, I've been looking for full-time work since 2010 after being laid off from my previous job. Must-have PSP games?

I know with the Vita now out, the PSP will go the way of other consoles/handhelds before it. But, I still have mine, don't plan on getting a Vita anytime soon, and am looking to add some games to my collection.

I mostly play anything aside from RPGs and Shooters, but would play an RPG if it's more action-based.

So, what are the must-have games for the PSP?
