Info about Xchange, Xplorer and how to use rosters and patches
Posted on February 20, 2010 at 04:30 PM.
These questions come up a lot, so here are some answers At the bottom is our friend AnthonyPhillips blog which he did to help people us the rosters as well.

To convert the z36 file (xchange 360) to bin (xplorer 360):

Try this link to read up if needed:

My rosters are made using Xchange and not Xplorer 360 (with an xport and xplorer or a data migration cable). If you are using a SATA cable you need to use Xplorer 360 or some other software to access the 360 HDD.

Xchange 360 just makes an image of the entire contents of the memory unit. It is z36 format and not bin. It is not really just the roster files, but a mirror of the MU.

There is a z36 to bin converter listed in this link and other info:

Good luck, just remember that Xport and the HDD transfer cable you usually use Xplorer 360 or similar software. My patches are posted for it.

My rosters are mirror images using Xchange 360. I do that to save myself time. I put a whole bunch of rosters on the mu and then make a mirror image of it using the xchange software that came with the Xchange transfer kit.

Some of you may have Vista. This link may help.

First off I just want to thank you for posting all of these files for us. I had one question; how do I split/edit the files when you upload multiple rosters at one time? I downloaded the nba2k10nhl10.z36 file and I had no idea how to edit/split them. Any help would be great. I followed the links you posted but I still didn't figure it out. Thanks.

You're welcome alchemist. If it is a z36 file you can just put it on a memory unit using xchange 360 software. If you want to use it with explorer, you will have to convert it first (see links I posted) before you could even see it in xplorer 360. If you have xchange, a mu and the transfer kit cable (you can find it cheap online, at datel.com or ebay), that would be the easiest route to go.

Thanks as always for the work you do -- you're a lifesaver for some of us. Do you plan on getting MLB2K10 rosters/patches or are you done with the series? :P Might be a dealbreaker if I know I won't be getting updates through your blog...

Yeah, as others have said you have saved my butt with all of these great files. I was also wondering if you will be getting Mlb 2k10? Because I know your the best when it comes to patches/ rosters. Thanks for all your hard work. Long live the King!!!!!

I am leaning towards not getting MLB 2K10, but I haven't tried it yet. I am going to download the demo when its available for Silver members (I let my Gold expire since I don't play online much). I already have MLB 10 The Show. I used to always buy MLB 2K baseball and liked it until last years game.

MLB 2K10 is a huge improvement over 2k9 and the reality is that anything would have been better than 2k9. The My Player mode on 2k10 is awesome tho. It does have its flaws like your hair disappearing every now and then (instant baldness) after a hit but if you can live with that its not too bad. Yeah its going to require a patch to fix other bugs that will be found but all in all its a pretty good game. Its much more complete than NBA 2k10 was.

Thanks. Any chance you might be able to post the newest NCAA Basketball 10 rosters for us? For example, those listed in this thread: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ed-roster.html?

molokoplus, I can't access it because in EAs infinite wisdom, you have to have Xbox Live Gold this year to get these files. My gold has expired. I may renew it soon, so if I do, I will post it. Freakin EA, Silver should be good enough to get to the media center or EA locker like it was last year. Heck even Madden allows roster download for silver members this year.

Same situation here. But thanks for the reply and for the files you've posted already. They've been a big help this week!
