Madden 25 Demo Impressions

I'll keep it short and simple.

1. Hate the camera angle. Drives me insane. Too far back for my liking. It really annoys the hell out of me.

2. Big hits are done better in this demo then it is in the retail version of NCAA 14.

3. Seen had some instances where the game will freeze after a cut scene. Same thing happens in NCAA 14 retail version.

The more and more I play this game, the more the little things that are off in this game is starting to irk the hell out of me. As we all know, little things add up and become a big problem. On one hand you have a game in NCAA 14 that is fun to play, but yet is still filled with legacy bugs that makes you scratch your head and say why is this still in the game ?

NCAA 14 - Disappointed Rant 6/7/13

I am so disappointed in the game play video they released today 2 days before the start of E3. Wasn't one of their biggest new features for NCAA 14 was Infinity Engine 2.0 ? Didn't they harp how much improved it was over Madden 13's Infinity Engine ?

EA Sports, just admit the truth

Browsing EA Sports own forums, one of their developers shed some actual HONESTY. He said the reason Madden doesn't have true coach mode is because their engine isn't designed for CPU vs CPU game play. Now let us all think hard about this for a few minutes. Let it marinate.

If the CPU can't perform against it's own self in a game, then it REALLY isn't designed for Human vs CPU game play either. So why don't EA Sports just come out and say hey, our sports game is really designed ... Read More

NCAA 13: Tuner Gate

So NCAA 13 has been out for a week now. There is a tuner for it and the tuner has been out since the Season Ticket early release, but maybe even before that. Here is the thing, this marks the 1st time ever there has been no EA Sports official press release, statement or anything saying what the tuner suppose to have fixed.

Day one of E3, EA Sports dropped a bomb on the customer base. Madden has done the impossible, the unthinkable. They made a real time physics engine in ONE development cycle. EA Sports & 2K Sports - Same Problems

When I look at EA Sports games and 2K sports games, despite all the homerism you hear from fanboys of either camp, they both really share the same problem. And that problem is realism at the most basic level of the sport they are trying to portray.

Fix the ball carrier AI logic in NCAA 12

In this game and all football games really, it is way too much north and south running by all ball carriers. There isn't a visual difference between a power back or shifty back or a difference between a pocket passer running or scrambler.

All the ball carriers in this game have tunnel vision. What ever side they started running on, is the side they will stay on. They don't ever cut it clear back across the other side of the field, even when they have the speed and acceleration advantage ... Read More

Tuners, patches, ratings, oh my ! Madden 12 & NCAA 12

This year Madden and NCAA 12 are so close but so far from a complete game at the same time. They have made big strides in some areas and taken steps back in other areas. With Madden 12, they nailed presentation, but their piss poor commentary completely takes away from everything you see visually. Quick fix, turn off commentary.

Madden 12 - Unbias Review

Madden 12 is here and it is that time of year again. Did Madden 12 live up to the hype ? Yes and no.

Presentation wise the game looks good graphically. The grass fields look way better on here then it does on NCAA 12. Player models are bigger, for some positions maybe too big. Some of these QBs look like they been on a corn bread and collard greens diet.

The Joys of Coach Mode

Coach mode by far is the best new feature of NCAA 12. Anybody can have stick skills. Anybody can beat anybody on the planet eventually that way. Takes no skill at all.

Coach mode however is all about the X's and O's. To me it provides more of a challenge. Way higher risk and reward type of game play. In this mode you can clearly see who the studs are on the team and who the busts are. Plus it is a good way to find out who are the diamonds in the rough on your team. A person ... Read More

NCAA 12 - Almost There

By far, NCAA 12 is the best NCAA game this generation. However there is some realism aspects that are missing from the game.
  • Blocked Punts
  • Blocked FGs
  • Bad snaps
  • Bad holds
  • Pass intereference being called
  • WR/DB jostling Interaction
  • OL/DL interaction
There are a good number of people who can careless. But tell me why is it football videogames are the only sports games that can get away with no errors ? Errors are part of sports.
