A week ago the Redskins gave the game to the Eagles with 5 turnovers, today they were not the team turning the ball over. The Redskins forced 7 turnovers today in the blowout win over the Packers. 3 of the first 4 possessions ended in a turnover for Green Bay in a nightmare game. Aaron Rodgers managed to scorch the Redskins secondary for 418 yards but his 5 int's killed any momentum. Robert Griffin III played much better throwing for 180 yards 3 td's and no picks. Alfred Morris had a career day running all over the Packers defense for 275 yards on 28 carries and adding a TD. The Redskins defense must get better though giving up 644 total yards to Green Bay. Washington moves on to 1-1 and will host Detroit next week.

The Redskins enter 2013 with high expectations after making the playoffs in year 1 with RG3 as their QB, hes back from his injury and ready to go for opening night vs the Eagles. After a close first half where the Eagles had a slim 14-10 lead over the Redskins, the turnovers started happening. 5 turnovers lead to the Eagles outscoring Washington 28-7 in the second half, a fumble in the redzone and 3 int's from RG3 was not what he wanted in his return from injury. Alfred Morris had a good game but a costly redzone fumble killed the drive and the Redskins got no breaks in this game and the rout was on in D.C. The Philly defense was outstanding to go along with the speedy duo of Vick and McCoy on offense, the Eagles blasted Washington to go 1-0. The Redskins now go to Lambeau to take on the Packers next week.

RG3 is back from his injury and looks to lead the Redskins back to the playoffs. I made one move bringing in free agent CB Nnamdi Asomugha to help on defense. I have already decided to build the Redskins a state of the art new stadium for the 2014 season. Lets bring a title to our nations capital.

The LA Lakers and New York Knicks have announced a trade sending Steve Nash, Chris Kaman, Jodie Meeks and a draft pick to New York in exchange for Iman Shumpert and Tyson Chandler. Shumpert brings some youth to this veteran team and is a potential star in the making at only 23. Tyson Chandler is a NBA Champion with the Mavericks in 2011 and is a former defensive player of the year. Chandler is slightly aging at 31 but can give much needed help defensively to the Lakers.

Steve Nash has already announced that he is retiring at the end of the year and hes playing like hes already retired. Averaging just 8.2 PPG, the 39 year old point guard has a career average of 14.3 per game but isn't looking like himself. Nash struggled again tonight only scoring 6 points in 29 minutes but did add 4 boards and 4 assists to his totals. Jordan Hill has out played Chris Kaman lately and could be looking to start soon as he scored 12 points in 25 minutes compared to Kaman's 4 points in 16 minutes. Hill also added 16 rebounds. The Grizzlies were lead to victory by Mike Conley's 28 points and 5 assists while 4 other Grizzlies had double figures as well. Kobe Bryant again lead the Lakers in scoring with a game high 29 but surprisingly went 0-7 on 3 pointers. The Lakers wanted Nash to be apart of the team to try and go to the playoffs but they could look to make a trade for a younger PG soon if Nash continues to struggle.

Coming off a big win to kick off the year against the Clippers, the Lakers headed out to face the Golden State Warriors. Golden State made the playoffs for the first time since the 06-07 season and look to be even stronger with the signing of Andre Iguodola. The veteran Lakers had their hands full with the youthful Warriors as a hot 1st quarter helped led the way to a 52-43 halftime lead. Lakers bounced back to out score Golden State in the 2nd half behind strong performances again from Kobe Bryant and Nick Young. Bryant lead all scorers with 35 and looks fully healthy from the Achilles injury. Leads went back and forth in the 4th quarter and the Lakers looked to get out of Oakland with a win as Kobe Bryant passed out of a double team to a wide open Nick Young who drained the jumper with 2 seconds left to make it 105-103. After a timeout LA needed a stop for a win but Steph Curry broke free and drained a 3 pointer at the buzzer for a 106-105 Warriors win.

For the first time since injuring his Achilles against Golden State in April, Kobe Bryant returned to an NBA court on opening night. Also the first game in the post "Dwightmare" era, the Lakers opened up the season at home vs the Clippers who are playing their first game with Doc Rivers as their coach. The game went back and forth in the first as Kobe started cold only having 2 points in the first quarter and led by Matt Barnes the Clippers lead 27-25 at the end of the 1st. The Black Mamba took over from there after the slow start he finished the game with 29 points but he wasnt the only big scorer tonight, in his first game as a Laker, Nick Young was on fire most of the night shooting 10 for 17 and finishing with 25 points. Returning to the Lakers were Lamar Odom and Derek Fisher. Odom had a nice return scoring 12 in 14 minutes while Fisher only played 8 minutes. The Lakers face the Golden State Warriors next.

After winning back to back titles in the 08-09 and 09-10 seasons things have not been well in LA. Playoff exits from Dallas in 2011 and OKC in 2012 the Lakers brought in Steve Nash and Dwight Howard and was expected to contend for a title. After a horrifying season Howard is now with James Harden in Houston and the Lakers must move on. The team's future HOF Kobe Bryant is returning from an devastating Achilles injury but is ready to go. Kobe is now ready to chase after that 6th ring to tie MJ, and help vet Steve Nash win his 1st ring.Aside from signings like Kaman, Wesley Johnson and Nick Young i have also brought back former Lakers Lamar Odom and Derek Fisher! Can the Lakers return to title contenders? Lets go
