The Basketball Game Circus

So I'm usually not into the NBA that much, but this year something has happened to me. For the past year or so I have been really into college basketball, in large part due to me being on a college campus and our team being pretty good, but I've never really gotten into pro basketball except for the occasional 2k game every so often.

So tomorrow night marks the grand opening of the new home of the Missouri State Men's and Lady Bears basketball teams. This is probably one of the biggest events for not only Missouri State or even Springfield, but rather the entire region of southwestern Missouri. I'm extremely pumped for not only the game, but also just to be part of the experience. I can't wait until tip-off. I thought the games last year were crazy. I can't imagine what its going to be like tomorrow night.

Missouri State Basketball

Well, tonight marks the start of the 2008-2009 Missouri State University Men's Basketball season. The Bears are in Alabama tonight to take on the Auburn Tigers. I'm pretty excited to see how this new look team does after losing their two best players and only returning six lettermen from last year. There are a lot of new faces on the team this year, including five freshmen and one redshirt freshman.

20 Years and Counting

So today marks the 20th year of my existence in this crazy world. Its not a very special birthday considering I don't gain any privileges, but it does get me one year closer to the magic number.

Last night I picked up the new Call of Duty. I had to trade in Fable 2 to get it, but I think it was worth it. I beat Fable a few weeks ago and didn't really see myself picking it back up again. Oh the life of a broke college kid.

A Tremendous Achievement

Yesterday, at 2:16 pm, I achieved a tremendous accomplishment....I posted my 500th post in the Operation Sports forum. That's right, after 5 years and 260 days since I joined back in February 2004, I finally reached the 500 post milestone.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible: Steve and everyone else who works behind the scenes, all the mods, and I guess everyone who has ever been at OS.

First, let me start by saying that Mike Singletary, or Mike Martz, or whomever was calling the plays at the end of the game last night has got to have the worst game management skills in the league. How do you call a terrible run play like that with 4 seconds on the clock?

First of all I just want to say that the new OS Arena is amazing. I've only been browsing it for about 5 minutes so far, and I must say that I absolutely love it.
