In all seriousness, this is just a game and a very fun one. I take no offense to anything that is said or done within this post and nobody else should either. I hope we have as many more matches of this as peregrines creative mind will allow us to have. Thanks to peregrine for taking the time to moderate this and I consider all of you my friends.

I totally agree with this. Things can get a bit heated when you are fighting for your life, but everyone seems to be putting that behind them when the game is over. This really has been a blast, and a great addition to the forum.

My reasoning for thinking Lathum might be a werewolf was that in the first game, Lathum was the first innocent villager lynched and people felt crappy about that. Crappy enough that they wouldn't vote for Lathum early in this game. I guessed Peregrine would think the same and assign a wolf role to Lathum.

Well. Not the best move on my part and I know I look very wolfy this time.

To defend my voting for Jon (and Desnudo the day before). Until today, I felt fairly certain that ntndeacon was the seer, as he had been voting against the "popular" choices (he voted for Jon two nights ago and Desnudo last night, until switching when he started to get some votes last night). I pulled my vote for Jon because I wanted to read through and see if he had, in someway, given away the fact that he was the seer before coming out with it today.

After balancing it all out again and reading things over, I still thought ntndeacon stood out as the seer more than Jon, and the fact that Jon gave himself up tipped the scales for me.

I'm sure I'm screwed now because I took a (wrong) position before people started piling on, but I hope everyone looks at the way today's vote went, and who else voted with me, before declaring me a werewolf.

I think it is a higher probability that Jon was the protected than just a random person. Having said that, if Jon was protected and there is more than 1 wolf (which is almost a guarantee) then I would think Jon would be definitely be targetted tonight as the bodyguard couldn't guard him again. I may not be home in enough time to see how the bandwagon goes. But, I will say this: I didn't vote for NoMyths (and argued enough to swing the vote) or GWB because they weren't wolves. I would never vote for EaglesFan or Nequa, because they are not wolves. I'm voting Lathum, b/c he's a wolf. Granted, I had some votes wrong (like everyone else), and I didn't know NoMyths was a sorcerer. . . but you can't see everything.

I'll say it --- I am the seer. I wanted to pass enough clues without saying it, but since this may be my last day. I'm going to lay it all out again.

I didn't want to tell anyone that I was the seer. My intent was to lay low, and see how things went, until I picked a werewolf to view. My initial viewing was NoMyths, and I saw that he was a human. So, when it appeared that NoMyths may become an early target based upon his posts, I figured I had to do whatever it took to get votes away from NoMyths and figured it would be best to bandwagon against Shorty. No offense, Shorty, it just appeared that it was you or NoMyths and since I didn't know your role, I was stuck early in the game. I subsequently viewed Nequa (human), GWB (human), EaglesFan (human), and Lathum (wolf). Because I got a hit so late in the game, I had to just lay it all on the line and hope the bandwagon would go in his favor. I figured once I did that, I would become a target, which is why I tried to leave hokey clues that I was the seer without saying it outright. Although I must admit that I knew that I would be the wolves next target (since I forgot about the bodyguard) as it would become clear I was the seer (even I know that a typo isn't much of a strategy, but I had a lot of work to do and a little time to sit and strategize).

Now, for the bad news, I didn't make it home last night in time to make another viewing. Apparently some wolves figured out who I was and decided to give me some tequila and rumbelmintz (spelling?), which severly impaired my ability to see, meaning I got home after midnite. I missed the deadline to view and so I can't see. So I figure I will likely be gone tonite.

I do want to say, though, that this is what I know.

I suspect that kwit or ntndeacon is a wolf, but the alcohol severely inhibited my ability to see. (Hell, you should be glad I can even type this).

Especially since I think we're on the wrong track. I don't know about anybody else, but I'm a villager. It would have been nice to be viewed last night to prove it.

I think the werewolves are playing us against one another right now, and have been very successful at it.

I voted for Jon because I thought his reasoning was inane (the typo accusation). I felt that he was a wolf and decided to play the seer card at the last minute to get the heat off of himself and onto Lathum. Yes, when Lathum turned out to be a villager, Jon would be outed, but by then another villager would be dead and the wolves would be inches away from victory. Obviously I was wrong and he really was the seer.

So who do I think are the wolves? Well, not sure, but I think at least 1 or 2 voted for Lathum to keep flying under the radar. It didn't look like Jon was going to get enough votes to be lynched. I imagine they decided to give Lathum up and put distance between themselves and him. In fact, it would be stupid for a werewolf to vote for Jon unless they KNEW they'd get the votes. If you were online at the time, you know that the vote looked like Lathum would be lynched the whole time. Only ntndeacon's last second vote made it close.

So I think we should keep an open mind and look at the people who voted for Lathum and the people who didn't vote at all. Lathum said something about the non-voters helping him. Of course, that could just be subterfuge.

If you lynch me tonight, you're making a mistake.

I have to admit, Jon's eaten/eatin attempt was really, really weak until he followed it up with the see comment. Luckily he did, we might have lost the seer last night instead of a wolf. Which brings me to my observation.. One thing that would help us, if you feel strongly about a candidate, it would be best to state a case, a simple vote might not be helpful since the tiebreaker is Peregrine reviewing the cases and picking the best one.

Would have been interesting to see how a tie vote would have gone last night at such a critical point. Oh well, off the game for a bit there.. probably a topic for thought later...

His eaten/eatin comment was supposed to be weak. It was probably to get everyone thinking about why he would make such a weak comment and a vote so early in the day. Combine that with his overuse of words like "perceive" and "focus" in that post, and you get a bunch of subtle hints. Had more people caught on to this, he might have stayed hidden.

That way next round you can have the option to protect anyone. By protecting someone this round you will lose the ability to protect them next round.

I suspected, it wouldn't turn out well for me if Jon ended up not being the wolf. As I said, I know it looks bad on my part to take the initiative and vote early, but I justified my reasons for voting for Jon when I did it and took that chance. Unlike those of us who just piled on to keep themselves safe.

Use your heads and look at who else voted against Jon yesterday and look at their past voting records. Since Jon is almost certain to be eaten tonight, if you guys lynch me, we will take a big step backwards after getting Lathum right yesterday.

I've been outspoken and taken some chances in the game, but don't kill me because I got a big one wrong. Look at the entire game pattern before deciding. I vote ntndeacon.

His eaten/eatin comment was supposed to be weak. It was probably to get everyone thinking about why he would make such a weak comment and a vote so early in the day. Combine that with his overuse of words like "perceive" and "focus" in that post, and you get a bunch of subtle hints. Had more people caught on to this, he might have stayed hidden.

Good point. . I was definitely trying to figure out the reason why he would do that at that point he was still a suspect though along with Lathum in my eyes.

But, why stop the suspense.

A repost of my thoughts, just in case some people didn't read back that far.

Just in case I get eaten tonight here's a brief run down of who I think is a wolf:

Swaggs - He was on my suspect list before tonight's vote and the vote simply confirmed it. The very weird switch-unswitch move seemed contrived and meant to imply indecision, when I'm sure his decision was made well in advance. Also commented on stressing about being eaten, just like Lathum. I think it's a ruse. None of the villagers seem to comment about that aspect, since it's a fact of life for them.

KWhit - Jumped to defend Lathum from Jon and also tried to deflect attention onto NTNDeacon, all in the same post. Also previously tried to indict deacon. His attention on deacon is the reason why I don't think deacon is a wolf.

I really think it might just be these two remaining, unless one of the non-voters is also a wolf. Order of viewing, lynching for me would go Swaggs then KWhit.

Anyone who voted for Lathum is in the clear in my mind. The majority, maybe all, of us who voted were online when voting closed. It would have been very easy to switch votes when it was obvious that Lathum was going to lose. There was no benefit to the wolves even pretending to lynch one of their own. There was no point where the vote was not going to be close. They get Jon and it's game over pretty much.

The wolves got caught with their pants down. Therefore, see my post above.

I can't believe that you guys are stringing me up for taking initiative yesterday. I knew I would be out for dinner and said so. I could have bowed out and not made any enemies, like Kevin, but I went with my best guess.

Please, please look at ntndeacon and KWhit. ntndeacon came in at the last second and voted for Jon without any explanation at all and both he and KWhit have slid under the radar and let Lathum be the "loud" one of the group.

If I die today and Jon dies tonight, we'll still have the brutal wolf there to ensure that another of us goes down when we pick him. Lynching me is a bad move.

I didn't jump up to defend Lathum. I said that it was an illogical reason to lynch somebody based upon a misspelled word. I was trying to use some logic and common sense! And my argument for Lathum made a hell of a lot more sense than Jon's argument against him (that it was a freudian slip, please!). When I first defended Lathum, nobody thought that Jon was the seer. Nobody.

It was only after that (and after he had a couple of votes), that Jon dropped his big hint that he was the seer. I thought that he was doing it as a ploy to save his werewolf hide. I was wrong, obviously. But I'm no werewolf.

I agree. Please keep in mind that I was questions Lathum's role in the game since the beginning. Saying the peregrine would probably make Lathum a werwolf because people had said they wouldn't vote for him at the begining. Would I say something like that if I too were a werewolf? Doubtful. If I were around eysterday I would have vote for him, not that anyone will believe me :)

I agree with you. In addition, I know I'm not a wolf (but all four of us can say that). I wish I wasn't on the list, but I've been playing the numbers this whole time, too, so I can see voting for me.

IMO there are 4 wolves in the game. Lathum, KWhit, SWaggs and deacon are my best bets. I think we started with two normals and a Brutal and a Cursed was added along the way. With that said, I am also worried about some of Jon humans as one of them could be a turned Cursed

Of course, he could have been intentionally misleading us. I guess we'll find out after we lynch another wolf. I've gotta run in a minute, but KWhit's voting patterns and arguments have shown a protective inclination towards Lathum when his life was in doubt. Also, there have been several other questionable votes. If no one else has done so, I'll post more of my thoughts before I go to sleep tonight.

If there is anything for me, it is that whole mailbox full thing.. either his mailbox was really full at the time and a fellow wolf was sending him that or it was someone setting him up.. I never sent him a PM to see if it was really full as, in my eyes, would have been cheating. (should address that after the game... but.. anyways)

Other than that, with the Lathum vote being the big evidence right now, it is NTN, KWhit.. KWhit, NTN.. flip a coin.. We have the advantage now so..

While it has been tremendously entertaining to watch all the speculation, I would hate for innocent actions to impact this game. My ping to Kwhit was purely and totally separate from this game. I hadn't even looked in this thread until after I posted that ping. I am a journalist in the IHOF and my PM to him was purely IHOF related. I needed information for an article I was writing. My reasons for picking KWhit have been outlined in previous posts. I agree with Eaglesfan, it's open and shut. If you go back and read posts, I think it is pretty clear. As for Kevin, I don't think a wolf would have wasted so many votes. It's certainly possible, but I think the evidence is stacked against KWhit.

Nothing that's happened since we lynched Lathum has changed my opinion. How people voted today really means nothing since everyone knew Swaggs was getting lynched.

Anyways, it hard to defend my two non-votes other then to say that I am mostly on the net only when I am at work, and on those days when I left work I did not have a good pick yet. I will not vote for someone without atleast a reason.

I've done my best to explain voting for Jon. But I'll say it again, it was not in support of Lathum, contrary to what has been suggested. If Jon had used a better argument at first (something about Lathum's voting history other than the typo argument), I might have believed him. Instead, I was convinced he was a wolf trying to save his neck or get the real seer to expose himself.

The game is still in doubt. Voting for a villager at this point could tip the balance back to the wolves.

Think this through before you cast your vote. I am an innocent villager.

And I am convinced that ntndeacon's 8:00 vote was not just a coincidence. Are we supposed to believe that he just happened to get in from a movie, log on, and vote at that precise time? Doesn't sound right to me.

Well I don't like to change the rules in midstream, but I'm not really happy with the current tie rule. From now on the new tie rule will be, if there is a tie in the voting at the deadline (or when no one can be convinced to change their vote) then no one will be lynched that day.

As if you needed more pressure...

I'll flip flop too if they come in late. I'm sure a few people would to make sure it isn't a tie but, Barkeep is a known villager detected by the seer, isn't he? I'm trying to figure out why.. unless the seer sees a cursed as a regular villager? That or, it sure wasn't Jon that was the target the other night and they happened upon the cursed.. guess it explains the desire to want to get a new player in there.. although, new player.. unfamiliar I guess...

Yes, the seer viewed barkeep way back when I called him out in round 2. He stated he wasn't a wolf, and I have no reason to believe that the Seer would lie. Do wolves have such short memories?

So why did I tie it up? Because I thought it more likely that KWhitt was a wolf than ntn. That proved to be right. I had hoped that one of the ntn voters would have switched their vote. I think if we hadn't been rushing to try and finish before the weekend that could have happened.

Besides the fact that the seer saw my previous incarnation, a tie helps the wolves less than having an innocent villager killed if there is a no kill.

Hopefully the game does not end tonight.

Those 3 people obviously can be eaten tonight. Im not trying to make a case for not eating me. But remember we still have at least 1 special role,the bodyguard. There is only 4 people then that could be wolves.

1. Denudo - Has had a history of voting for the wolves. The only vote he made that didnt result in an evil role was qwikshot in round 4

2. KevinNu7 - I have always figured that he wouldnt get to play the werewolf twice in a row. His voting pattern seems to suggest that.

3. Kwhit - He flew under the radar up until the whole Jon debacle. He did vote for swaggs. But if I knew one of my wolf buddies was gonna be eatin, I might vote him off to. I need to check when he voted, if it was late or early though, that could be a decided factor on if I vote him next time.

4. Mustang - He has only actually voted to get rid of lathum and swaggs. All of his other votes were for people that were lynched that round. If he is the wolf, he has played a most brillant game.

An additional possibility, however remote, is that one of the viewed, was actually cursed and attacked, not Jon.

However, the person with a big blinking sign over his head that says I'm a werewolf is KWhit. Look beyond the vote to the initial accusation posts. He comes to Lathum's defense and accuses NTNDeacon. He had also tried to bring up deacon's name in a previous post, prior to Jon's accusation of Lathum. Since deacon is now known as a villager, that puts additional condemnation on him. I stupidly switched my vote for deacon, when I knew that KWhit is a werewolf.

Should I be eaten tonight, I would hope that everyone will see the obvious the next time around.

Yes, the seer viewed barkeep way back when I called him out in round 2. He stated he wasn't a wolf, and I have no reason to believe that the Seer would lie.
There have been 3 no-kill nights if you count the first night. Jon says that he viewed Nequa on the second night. He could be the cursed and now a werewolf.

The tie vote was very strange to me. Especially when he said at the time that:

So I guess I'm the last one, huh? And I'm not really convinced of either person's guilt. I guess there is slightly more reason for Kwhitt than ntn, though.
Is "slightly more reason" enough to risk a tie? I wouldn't have risked the tie unless I was really sure, which he obviously wasn't. Unless he's the wolf.

Just wanted to say that I don't feel so bad about my death now. I had been pushing for, and nearly got, a lynching for ntndeacon. It didn't really matter which of us died since both options were bad.
Well, the only good thing about me dying instead of you was perhaps you might have saved Jon. Especially since I was just a villager and not the Doctor. (Wonders were that nice shiny blue box is)

Possibly, but I think that is a fairly small difference. We were both good guys, and that makes us pretty much the same.

On a side note, I wonder what we will all learn from this game. I have to say that this has been a very successful game since we are very fan into the game and there is still plenty of doubt as to who everyone is, and which team will win. There have been a lot of strategies tested and revealed (with varying levels of success), but I wonder how much everyone has learned. I would bet that if we ran another game with the same players in different roles, there would still be all kinds of confusion, paranoia, and wrong choises. I suppose that is the beauty of the game. You could play with all of the same players and still really not know what anyone is about.

I wonder how long it will be before there is so much interest in this game that multiple games will have to be run concurrently. This could become a full time job for Peregrine. :)

I think that might work if there were only one werewolf to begin with.

I think we should definitely have a decompression session after this is all over to discuss strategies, turning points (taken and missed), and potential additions (I know that I have thought of two that would add to the game).

I was thinking about just one wolf to start as well. Thinking about it more, this might not work too well. Seeing who the wolves eat is a good way to help pick out the wolves. If we never see a wolf victim, there is never a good way to identify the wolves. Pretty much every pick would be random.

Except for voting for the seer, trying to save Lathum, and trying hard to get innocent deacon killed. You were able to get the mad Duke to save your hairy hide once, but not again.

If people don't buy my line of reasoning, Eaglesfan is as bright as anyone on the board and the fact that he has not deviated from accusing you says something to me.

Well since everyone is voting for Kwhit, except him of course, you get ready to lynch him, unfortunately he turns into a werewolf and tries to make a run for it! After a brief moment of chaos when several weapons are fired, chairs are knocked over, and the fire is almost put out, he is subdued. There can pretty much be any variant you want. However I think that game would have to have some special rules, otherwise the humans would never win. Since there would be one more wolf each night, and the villagers could only hang one wolf a day, you could never hang all the wolves.

Well folks, this game was a blast. I had quite a bit of fun. For those of you I prematurely killed, I am sorry, and do not take is personally. I am quite surprised that I lasted this long. I figured that once I exposed myself as the duke I was good as gone, but I guess not. I hope that me being alive this long helped me out. Makes sense to kill me off and not elimnate another villager though. Good luck guys, and I hope you villagers can win. And don't forget to tip your glasses to me tonight :D

If we lynch the wrong guy and someone gets eaten, game over. Sure I could risk the shot that I wouldn't be eaten and protect the remaining guy, but I think I was odds on to get eaten next anyway. Since that is the case, I'm going to come clean and tell you I am the bodyguard. The reason why I am announcing this will become clear.

On the nights with no kills: I protected Mustang on night one, Nequa/Barkeep on night two. I protected Jon after Lathum's lynching, and Eaglesfan the night before he was lynched. This information in no way clears Mustang and Barkeep completely, but it certainly lowers the odds that they are the remaining wolf.

Therefore, I accuse Kevin of being the remaining wolf. Perhaps the fact that he was a wolf in the previous game means he is not one in this one, but I am not convinced. It is also possible that he was a cursed villager. I am in no way 100% convinced of his guilt, but I think he is the best choice, given the circumstance.

It is possible that Mustang or Barkeep got attacked/became a wolf on one of the later nights. Unfortunately, there is no way to even guess. I would say Barkeep is the second posibility with his tie vote, but that's not enough to sway me.

Well Desnudo, I'm guessing that you saying you are the bodyguard. Right now, there are 4 of us left. (about the only thing we do know)

Neuqua/Barkeep is pretty much cleared as being an innocent although, I'm a little confused as to his entire reasoning for putting the score tied but, he thought NTN was not a wolf so, he tied up the score hoping someone would be smart enough to figure we didn't want a tie and swap to KWhit. I can believe that or believe he was a cursed wolf attacked on the night we thought Jon was being guard (the no kill night a few nights ago). Myself, I thought he was either the cursed or bodyguard because he was replaced.. This late in the game, either role was too valuable to both sides to just have languish..

Now, you state you are the bodyguard, I'm not 100% sure of your reasons but, I wish that you hadn't come out to say that. It would have still given us a chance if we screw up tonight to have someone protected. So, now in my mind, you are either the bodyguard or you are a wolf lying because you know that if you get an innocent lynched you have a chance of getting the right bodyguard and ending the game because you have a completely free shot or you have a 50/50 shot tonight of killing the bodyguard and ending the game. So, I'm stuck on believing you or not..

And Kevin.. well, Kevin has been under the radar the whole game. Was it a ruse and he has just been quietly watching or has he been really busy. We've been excluding him the entire game...

My head hurts.. I gotta think. So much for the easy lynch day..

I'm ok with ending this at midnight but, whatever the other players decide that is ok.... I will be away tomorrow morning and afternoon so... please keep that in mind.

too bad you have to lynch here. Here's why.

If you guess wrong, and then they eat.. it's 1 v 1. game over. The Wolf will naturally be switching votes like crazy, because ALL THREE innocents MUST agree against the Wolf, because the Wolf can always tie things up. Random chance states that you have a 1 in 4 chance.

If you could skip the lynch.. the wolf would eat someone (and barring the shot that he might eat a cursed), and it'd be 1 v 2. then only the two innocents must agree, because the wolf is out numbered.

So think wisely and well, villagers. Plan cunningly, werewolf.

Desundo could ofcourse NOT BE the Bodyguard and is only attempting to protect himself. I am jsut a villager for this game. I wish I actually was a wolf. I throughly enjoyed that role in Game 1. What really sucks is that I need to go off the PC very soon and call it a night!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I am comfortable with ending it tonight since I won't be around much tomorrow anyways.

Knowing that I am not the wolf I have to find Desundo's instant accusations questionable. For not I vote for him. I will try and get on before midnight to check out the other possibilities.

The reason why I announced it is because we need full information at this point. I would prefer to make an informed decision now, rather than take a 50/50 shot that I won't be the one eaten if we get the wrong guy. Had I remained quiet and we lynched the wrong guy, even if I wasn't eaten and successfully protected the other remaining villager, where does that leave us? Exactly where we were before, information wise.

As for me being a wolf, I voted for Lathum when one vote switch would have resulted in killing Jon. The wolves had to know he was the seer once he posted that he was, since they obviously knew Lathum was a wolf. I also pushed very hard to take care of Swaggs and KWhit and voted accordingly, only switching to deacon because a tie was worse than taking action.

All that means that I would have to be the cursed villager and got attacked on one of the two no kill nights after the vote. I believe that Eaglesfan was successfully protected the night before his death. That's why they killed him, because they knew he couldn't be protected again, and could not risk failing another time.

That leaves the Jon missed killing as the moment when something could have gone wrong and the cursed villager was attacked. Since that occurred before we got Swaggs and KWhit, I can say I certainly wouldn't have behaved in the manner I did had I become I wolf. Check my posts and you'll see I've been consistent in my accusations throughout.

That does leave the possibility that Barkeep was the one attacked on Jon's missed killing, or you even. However, I think the more likely reality is that Kevin is the wolf. It's the simplest answer and doesn't require assumptions to be made about what may or may not have happened.
