We all know that Hoops is the one that decides that a duo will become a trio. You, being the floozy that you are, were much more receptive to the idea than poor sensitive Danny. Danny fled when Hoops decided to add you into the Ménage but you seem to be much more happy in his arms, regardless of who else is there;)

I don't get it either. This dungeon clearly needs more neutral guys like you - folks willing to experiment a little bit with bending the rules, exploring new ideas, not just following the herd. You've been willing to seize that opportunity and run with it, in ways that blowhards like Darth Vilus probably never will.

When we "force companionshiped" that fairy, you were 100% committed to the effort. You deserve every bit of credit there is to give for those actions and I'm proud to say that I was your teammate. I could see a lot of folks being squeamish in that position but you did great.

When Danny bailed on the party, you scoffed in his general direction and kept focused on the task on hand.

And when I had to strategically withdraw from some overgrown self-healing tree - well, you were able to finish the job and grab a big fat pile of XP that I only slightly begrudge you for getting.

If no one else is willing to give you credit, I definitely am.

In the end, after a day of much soul-searching, I have decided to battle...no one.

Those of you calling for hoops' death should look inside to see the evil in yourselves. Meanwhile hoops has shown glimmers of goodness in his loyalty and teamwork with Jackal. That is the way it is with all things. The balance must be kept.

In a practical sense, the thread will continue to be far more entertaining with hoops around as well. I could've gone after Chief Rum because I know he has a ring I covet, but that would have felt like murder. The real battle royale would've been with dubb but while we're rivals, we've had a couple of good business transactions and I've been impressed with his play the entire game. Had I won, it would have felt like an empty victory. I probably could defeat most anyone else, but I don't have a grudge against any player (sure I'm disappointed with the result from hoops' potion but the result could have gone a number of different ways depending on die rolls) and don't think I need to defeat anyone to win.

So, that's why I will leave the Arena without partaking in it. I believe there will still be some drama for me later today though.

In the end, concerns over a potential battle with JAG led to me making different purchases than I would have otherwise.

But I really was untouched in the battle yesterday. Jackal, however, would have had no spells whatsoever and was packing a load of potions plus that nifty banner that Danny mentioned. I'm very glad he wasn't picked, as he would have been dog meat - unless he's been holding out on me with items drops.

Going it alone on this level would probably have slowed my progress as well. And as Danny has correctly pointed out, I'm all about getting into the Top 5 no matter who gets in my way.

how tough isss PB now? the shield and ssssword do make him pretty powerful I think but that doessss depend on hisss level and armor and damage etc.

Technically I could have claimed another person's healing stuff if I beat them. Some of my spells hit hard enough that two in a row would be death even through healing.

The other thing is that I actually didn't pull out all the stops in the fight. I had a couple other things I could've done to make the fight easier but I guess Abe didn't think it was needed to win.

Going well, fighting with 4 tonight and should take them down. It'll be close whether or not it gets me what I need JAGgy-waggy. Gotta hope to get a decent draw when I dive out of the room although between you and I we've been to 3 out of the 4 possibilities already babe.

Unless the Basilisk has resists I don't understand, but The Jackal would have due to lore, I really don't understand why the fight would have gone down that way. You should have had to wait an extra day to ascend to Level 10 if we had taken the same actions we have the last several days together.

I think it's from the rules on multi-person combat:

If two or more players enter a room, there are several possibilities for combat. If there are multiple monsters in the room, each player will take a share of the monsters to fight, so you will divvy them up. If you arrive with one monster and multiple players, one player will fight the monster at a time, until the monster is killed (unless you are a team). The player with the lowest level will fight first. If tied, Fighters go first, and if two of the, are in the room (or two non-Fighters) then it will be random. So, if Bob and Steve arrive to find a Grizzly Bear, Steve will fight it since he is level 3 and Bob is level 5. If Steve wins, he gets the XP and any treasure the Bear had. If Steve runs away or dies, then Bob fights the Bear.
