There is some discussion among the group today about who might be guilty of the horrible attack of last night. Consensus quickly grows around Simbo Klice somehow being involved and a mob approaches him. He begs off, showing you the books he's been reading, trying to understand the Mummy menace. "He's helping him!" someone shouts, looking through the papers that are grabbed out of Simbo's hands. "He's the one who woke it!"

"No, no, that's not it, I'm trying to tell you," Simbo pleads. "What's that on his neck?" someone shouts. There is some kind of mark and soon panic sets in. Fists flash and Simbo tries to fight back but there are too many of you. He twists and turns, trying to break free with wild strength but soon he moves no more.

The hearts of the crowd slow as you all sit, panting from the exertion. Someone stands and starts to go through his things. He has books, indeed, many papers on the mummification practices of the Wetar people. Notes too, on ancient legends, and parables of the undead. "Wait, he has notes here," someone says, reading them out loud. They are notes on how to recognizing the markings of the undead, how to prevent its movement from body to body. The mark on Simbo's neck? A mosquito bite.

Simbo Klice is dead. Simbo was Professor Davis.

So doing a bit of maths I've come up with the fact that we really have to hope that the doctor/nurses have been on the ball in this game. Because otherwise I think we could be up to as much as 8 villagers to 7 baddies. (Mummy, 2 transformed, 3 infected, cultist). And someone on the baddy side has a double vote. Against that we have the mummy hunter, a doctor, (hopefully, though not certain) 2 nurses and 4 vanillas. We're starting to rely on the infected voting each other or killing each other.

So yeah, I think "screwed" would be a decent description of what the (small) majority of us are at the moment.

Okey-dokey. Take Crimson out because I don't see Eagle voting a transformer on day one in this sort of game. Take out Raiders because I don't see Eagle putting in an early second vote on someone who already has a wolf vote.

JAG has been pretty helpful from the outset and I haven't really had a wolf vibe from him. I think possible infected but I'm not seeing him as a transformer.

Jackal - dunno. He actually has fewer posts than me and I haven't been super-active. I think villager Jackal is a bit more active so I think Jack's a definite maybe.

Darth - has been Darth, for better or worse. Another maybe.

LoneStarGirl - seems to have coasted along through the game, saying bits and pieces without actually leading anywhere.

Britrock - didn't like his reasoning for voting Zinto yesterday (and I still find the reasoning bogus). On the other hand he voted non-Simbo at a time when it wasn't wholly clear that Simbo was going to get landslid, so that's a positive.

Zinto - has been very active and thought of stuff. I don't even remember how Zinto plays as a wolf but I don't think it's like this.

KWhit - flying so low under the radar he's subterranean. Not at all how he used to play but anyone can be hit by work. Still I would expect more from KWhit.

Jackal, Darth, LoneStar or KWhit for me then.

Won't deny UTR play; this game is complex, and most of the effort I've spent in this game has just been thinking about the possible permutations of roles in play, rather than gumming up the thread with incomplete/inconsistent/incorrect analysis. If you don't mind me asking, what's wrong with the Day 1 vote? We've had runaways so far, and that has contributed to my being under the radar. With votes such as the early vote for Zinto yesterday, I'm trying to generate a little thought about the players whose in-thread behavior has pinged me. In a game like this where there is so much changing sides, I think voting analysis will prove less useful than normal.

At this point, I have a better idea of who not to lynch than who to lynch. And to bump a previous question, would the village be served to lynch the cultist today?

Well it is a little disheartening to see how little discussion has been happening on such an important day. It seems we are getting into a LSG vs brit showdown and I will have to go back and look to see what I think of the both of them as candidates.

I think we are a little stuck here at this point with the UTR players. We have three people playing that have less than twenty posts which is not helping the village at all.

Just based on play style both LSG and Brit have been acting weird(in the one and two games I have played with them respectively). LSG was much more forthright with who she thought was a wolf last game consistently offering up people she thought were baddies. Brit played much more openly and actively as a villager in Portal, when he was a villager, than in comparison to Breakout Kings when he was a wolf.

With two deaths by mysterious attackers, and three deaths at your own hands, today is a day of fear and accusations. Insults and suspicions are hurled back and forth as the group gathers in one of the main buildings, few brave enough to be out of sight of the group even in the day. A heated argument turns physical and soon two of you are trading blows. More join in, on one side and then the other so that it becomes difficult to tell who is fighting who, who is protecting who. When the melee finally ends it's hard to tell exactly what the result is, with people collapsing everywhere, and blood on every pair of hands.

But when everyone has risen you see that one has not. Britrock88 is slumped on the ground. Someone checks his pulse. "Dead," they say, looking up at the group. You look at each other, unsure whether to be horrified or satisfied. The medical staff gets down and examines the body. They look up and shake their heads. "He's normal."

The night is interrupted once again. This time it is not by a cry of fear or pain, but a surprised laugh and then the sound some rumbling and grinding. A strange light glows outside, and those who rush to the window see it emanating from one of the excavation pits. It grows brighter and brighter and then in a flash it is gone.

The amazement at this event is quickly eclipsed though by a scream from within the room itself. The man you once knew as EagleFan staggers into the room, a light of the same sickly color seeming to seep from his skin itself. He stares at his hands, leaking light, and then at you all, shocked. At the sight of your faces though his face turns from horror to hatred. He lurches at you, growling an inhuman sound, muttering in some long forgotten language. Before you can react he has seized one of you and you all hear the sounds of bones crunching.

But before he can complete his gruesome kill a voice calls out behind him. JAG hurries into the room, and you realize that he was the only one not here. He holds a clay tablet in his hands, broken in two and the Mummy screams out in anguish at the sight. Throwing the person aside he had attacked, the Mummy rushes at JAG and the two collide, fists flashing. You watch as JAG staggers back, no match for the unearthly strength of the Mummy. But he plants his feet and hurls the pieces of the table to the ground, shattering them into many pieces. More of the sickly light seeps from the pieces and the Mummy slumps to his knees, his strength suddenly draining. Pulling himself forward he reaches for a piece of the tablet, but JAG reaches down and kicks it away. That is his last mistake. The Mummy, unable to rise, is able to seize JAG's ankle. Soon the man is down on the ground, and though the Mummy can hardly move he makes quick work of breaking JAG's neck. Within seconds there is a last flash of light and two bodies lay lifeless on the ground.

EagleFan is dead. EagleFan was The Mummy.

JAG is dead. JAG was a normal resident of the island who became the Mummy Hunter.

You all turn away, shocked by what has happened. Well, not all of you. One of you stands rigid, his mouth set in a silent scream and blood trickling from the violent wound in his neck. As you stare in shock his body slumps to the floor.

Raiders Army is dead. Raiders Army was a normal resident of the island.

FWIW, I think if the other nurse is one of the five players I mentioned, they should reveal. Its still going to take the wolves two nights to kill us and anytime we can whittle the list down, that helps a lot.

If the nurse is already one of the non transformed, doesn't make sense to reveal. The other nurse could always be infected as well, so no reveal just may mean that

It's interesting that all of LSG, Darth and Jackal made a vote farirly early and stuck with it while Zinto bounced around some more. It's much more typical of wolves to stick with their vote on day one.
