I think Gozer endgame is endgame for us if we don't have a couple of proton packs to cross streams with ... which makes it pretty important to safeguard those last remaining roled villagers somehow.

As far as their "find" each other logic ... would be cool if JAG clued us in on if both being converted was sufficient, or if there are extra steps. Not counting on it, but I guess consider this an official question on the matter.

Given the ghosts have a chance to convert two players, does it seem fair that they would have three starting members? If so, I would think they could not do both night kill and convert on same evening ... that would seem somewhat unbalanced. Definitely not expecting JAG to chime in on the train of thought in this paragraph, just trying to work it out for myself.

I assume their night kill functions as a convert if they target the right person. That would be the standard way.

My thoughts on D1 is that they are random until they are not. We don't have enough info to really tell just yet, but absent other data points I think we all should be at least considering the votes/posts with the hope that there was meaning behind them.

Assuming there are two starting wolves, the chances of a 4 villager showdown (pure math) = 15/17 * 14/16 * 13/15 * 12/14 = 32760/57120 = 57.3%

But if we have three starting wolves, then the numbers read = 14/17 * 13/16 * 12/15 * 11/14 = 24024/57120 = 42.1%

So that is why the conversation about "starting assumptions" is kind of important ... it helps assess risk. I'm usually pretty bad at the gut part of the game, so I lean on math more than most.

I somewhat doubt that the converts know then can be converted. Guessing Peck is the cultist, and the Gatekeeper/Keymaster think they are vanilla villagers.

Wasn't hinting anything as far as "oh, pick me, I can be converted!" - as I mentioned above, I would be somewhat surprised if that is in the game. Both from assumed mechanics and the way the movie worked (characters introduced, not knowing they were Gozer pawns).

Today the group has come across some clues. Charting the ghost sightings and attacks they have been made aware of, a definite pattern has arose. There seems to be an area of the city where the attacks are most prominent. Heading in that direction today, you come across a man flailing his arms trying to flag you down. "Vote him! He's a commie!" "No, vote him!" "Wait, is there anyone I haven't voted yet?" Clearly he appears disturbed as a result of supernatural activity and you decide to attack him just to be sure. Well, you were wrong. He was just a regular NYC citizen (to be fair, it's pretty hard to distinguish between them sometimes).

Coffee Warlord was a citizen of NYC.

Night comes and the eerie silence is almost most disturbing than the horrific death of your comrade and potential Ghostbuster from yesterday. However, you wake up and find the group does not appear to be diminished from yesterday.

Today you will see if you can determine the source of the psychokinetic disturbance.

Day 3 has begun. D3/N3 deadline is Thursday 10pm EST.

There's an interesting timestamp right there, where we'll have 2 confirmed dead villagers, and 2 unknowns on a villager. BOTH of which really spearheaded a pile onto me this afternoon.

In case this is not clear, I'm Slimer. I scan as a ghost (since I am one) but I'm not part of the Gozer "murder everyone" club.

I didn't want to reveal as vanilla because I was not. But I did want to get my major win if possible, and it was useful in terms of potentially building trust later in the game. Something that a vanilla villager could not do, since they had no ability to find Venkman.

If the ghosts want to kill me to prevent trust, go ahead. I still scan as ghost and the rules do not say anything about how I work in terms of end-game ratio. I'll keep that to myself to keep them guessing.

If the village wants to lynch me for being a ghost, even though I'm revealed as neutral in the rules, that is obviously an option. But I'll still have my major win and I suspect it won't help the village out much in terms of rooting out the enemy.

Finally, I'm revealing now because I'll get scanned at some point and I would rather be forthcoming with that info (with win condition already secured) to help Egon make good scan decisions and hopefully better find ghosts.
