The nfl connection

I am so excited over the fact that 2k is releasing another football game but I was just wondering if not having any nfl ties will affect the ability to have any connection to the teams and players of 2k8.What I mean is when you play with nfl teams and players everyone has favorites and you usually use your favorite team in the game.If you are like me you obsessed with having every team as accurate as possible.Every player in the right positions all hieght and wieght accurate.But with this game there are no guidelines.There are no rosters to download.Perhaps there is a system built into this game where dan and peter will tell you who the superstars of this fictional league are? And tell us which team won the "world championship" last year? I KNOW the presentation and gameplay of this game wiil be incredible but I was just wondering will that connection with the game still be there with teams that are fake?.Then again being able to totally control every aspect of the game with a very detailed customization system could be the next evolution in online sports gaming.What do you guys think?
