Natural motion in 2k8? Perhaps so

I just read that Rockstar interactive, the maker of GTA franchise, a publisher in the take 2 family, has signed on with natural motion to use their euphoria engine in upcoming next gen games. Could this possibly mean that other parts of the take 2 family are already in bed with natural motion as well? Lets hope so!!

Don't bet on it. I would be surprised if this is in mainly because I find it difficult to program into a football game out of all sports. Also it says Rockstar aquired the license not VC.

If it happens then cool but don't get your hopes up.

I'm doubtful as well. For this year anyways. It will probably have what the baseball game has, "pure motion physics."

If so, hopefully it'll be applied more like it is in NBA2K7. Not that it's bad in MLB, but it's a little better realized in the NBA game. Love how they did it there; transitional animations and momentum coordinated w/stick movement is done very well

When I spoke to 2K PR last week, they confirmed that they are still using motion capture for some of the animations. That doesnt mean that they arent going to use natural motion in some form.

a mixture of both would be nice.....some motion capture here and a bit of natural motion there, sounds good

I know you cant answer but just wondering what the relationship is between you and 2k. Ive noticed over the past couple of years you are very firm in you statements. Im not discrediting you in any way, just something Ive noticed. And did you get any info reguarding first screens?
