Anyone know what happens when you complete your 16 game season?

I thought the same thing but if you re-read his post he was referring to the guy's claim that he can only play online with his friends because playing against anyone else is a waste.

I know where you're coming from, but you don't have to go out to strangers. That's what I was getting at with my bad analogy, lol. If you want to go out into the wild with no map then you should expect some crappy games, but it doesn't take much to find solid leagues or even just solid opponents even right here on this board. And there are great people to play during all hours of the day and night.

I'm not knocking franchise, I played the hell out of that too. But too many people seem to be writing off online play just b/c they hear it's nothing but a bunch of cheaters.

I'm not even concerned about the online cheese. Last week for the first time I took a console online in preparation of APF2k8. I plugged the only football game I had (NCAA 2006) into my PS3 and played the first person that came along. Sure I had someone who's probably 8-10 years old kick my butt 70-something to 7. But, I had fun.

I'm not concerned about posting a winning online record. I don't care about someone using the same play that 'works' everytime to beat me. I know given enough time and using my OS contacts I'll have the right people to play a clean game against.

One thing I did notice, and maybe its just coincidence, is that alot of people seem to be coming back to these boards after 2k8 was announced. I personally hadn't been here in years and I'm not the only one. Back in the IGN days I was 'suburbantribal' and in the early days of OS I used 'BrynOS'.

I was playing on a PS3. I don't know if that affected the speed, but I doubt it. I was also using a wireless router. There were only four people playing as well.

I meant offline. I encountered slowdown offline on the PS3 when playing in Florida. Don't remember that when playing on the PS2.

I am surprised we still don't have an answer as to what happens after the season ends. At least I have not seen a definitive answer yet. Do you continue on with your old squad or restart it and pick new team members? Are there trades? Seems like 2K left us in the dark about this.

you shouldn't be surprised. there hasn't been any new information besides from guys that have played an 80% build for a half an hour or so. do you really think they're going to spend that time simming a season?
