15 Minute Quarters...

I just had an INCREDIBLE game against the CPU with 15 minute quarters + acc clock. It was a 23-17 deep into OT nail biter. The end of regulation was amazing - with 11 seconds left from the BOS 31, I hit on a deep slant, somehow beating their gold FS Cliff Harris, who had tormented me all game. That got the ball to the 2, and one final timeout later with 1 second on the clock, I ran it in with Emmitt to force the OT. I lost when the Minutemen got into FG range (barely) and decided to keep passing instead of playing conservative, but I wasn't really disappointed - the rest of the game was just that good.

Anyway, the stats came out really good, too - 137 total plays in regulation, which is not far off from the simmed totals (around 131 on average). 15 minutes accel seems to be just the ticket. For the NFL it would be high, but hey - this isn't the NFL.

Great game, bcruise! I think 15 minutes gives you enough time to get an ebb-and-flow feel to the game.
