What do you guys think of this...

A Superstar mode but done 2K style... They already begin the first person football mode which seems fit for this type of mode. Also they don't have to use that system but maybe just modify it simular to Madden's... I know this sounds like a straight jack move from EA, but honestly that mode is way too arcadey... 2K could bring a great sense of realism to this kind of thing. Playing in a fictional league with your player would also make it much more believable.... With 2k's signature presentation and gameplay thsi would be awesome to me. If they added specific cutscences for the mode, for different types of events, as long as they keep it feeling fresh... They could even bring back the crib, using your salary as a player to reflect your home... You could go from watching rare highlights on a 20 inch to seeing yourself weekly on a plasma... I know that sounds arcadey but that will be meaningless to the type of depth 2K oculd bring to a mode like this... That along with a full custimizable league would completely sell this game, even without a NFL license..

2k should never do anything that EA does with Madden. Why take a step downward?

Yeah the Superstar mode in Madden is too arcady and it would be awesome if someone could implement a similar mode but better. I am getting tired of all the canned animations in football games though. It was OK three years ago but I have that "been there done that" feeling playing EA or 2K football. I am not saying the football games are bad necessarily but they are very tired in my opinion.

Well if 2K would never take anything from Madden, why were they stealing things from Live? I mean NBA is clearly a better game, they just took some ideas and made them better... Also look at the MLB series.. They've had a mode simular to Madden's superstar for a couple years now. Their mode is very fun, so I know, if done right, this could be an amazing mode if done right. Which I think 2K could easily do. It would be even easier for them to add depth to it without an NFL license..
