I think the only defensive attribute to stop the clutch ability on offense when passing is footsteps. There are only 3 players who have the footstep ability.

Tatum, Browner and Lloyd.

And I think you have a point, catchcath. My FS was a generic; had it been Tatum and Barney on Rice, he may have alligator-armed it.

I'm thinking of making a George Atkinson CAP to add a 4th guy with footsteps to the game. He definitely made guys hear them. So did Atwater and Smith--it would be great to have those guys in the game.

Is footsteps really effective?
Ive steered clear of it, thinking its like other seldom used abilities like Loose ball magnet, and magic feet. (imo at least)

No footsteps works. However there is no clear visual animation for it. What will happen is the receiver will not try to catch the ball thus the ball will hit the receiver without him making any attempt to catch it.

I've actually seen guys short arm balls around Tatum and Browner. I don't have video capture materials, so I can't post a vid. of it, but it happens.
