Why not an era based football game....

Years ago accolade created a football title called legends '98. While the game was horse****, the premise was good. Basically you choose to play in a certain era, with the rules that governed at that time, ie in the 30's the football was larger so you really didnt want to throw the ball. Also a lot more players in the 30's and 50's played both ways. Runningbacks ran 4.9's and so forth. You also played in era based stadiums with the goal post in front of the endzone, no turf,etc. I think 2K could make this happen and it would have an appeal. Heres a link to those who dont remember.

I thought of this the other day. I'd love to bust out the T formation and crush the Redskins 73-0, or dazzle my opponents with that newfangled "forward pass." Imagine having to try to stop Don Hutson or Jim Brown. I'd buy it.

Hell ya. That'd be awesome. Maybe they could have a franchise-like mode where every year is a new decade.
