i dont really love madden 09, my bro bought it and left it home so i have it. i bought head coach 09, much better after being patched. 2k5 is more realistic as far as gameplay goes in my opinion though. love how there's actually a pocket.

Id say buy the game. i am planning on doing so within the next week or so. This site seems to be helpful as well.

the game is very "adult like" in terms of using more Xs & Os to play rather than "use what works"

sure theres some cheese stuff, every game has that. but the 2k community in a whole is more adult like in gaming than the youthful madden crowd.

just do yourself a favor, DO NOT try to play apf like its madden. it wont work. the same plays wont work

learn the game for what it is. watch the oline on sweeps/pulls/traps etc and how they move.

it should take you 5 games to decompress from madden's ways. from that point on its pure heaven for apf!!!

Oh and make sure to add all the plays to your playbook. theres 6500+ plays but only 500 for default.

I agree. It has its issues, but they can easily be ironed out by joining a league. Many leagues now have banned certain plays and certain cheese (kicking to corner on kick offs).

But as a whole this is the most complete football title out. It has wayyyy more inner workings than the EA products. Another words, how often have you seen a blocked extra point, or a snap go over the punters head in madden? Well in APF these little things bring life to the game.

MADDEN/NCAA are soooo repetive to me. APF is different each and every game.
