EQ?

New 2k player here. Just bought both AP2k8 and NFL2k5 a couple nights ago. I've seen the term EQ, not sure if it was on AP2k8 or NFL2k5. What does it mean and what does it do?

I'm pretty sure it's only in 2k5, it stands for Equalizer. It basically just moves all of the player ratings towards each other, so if you were to play the Pats vs. the Lions, the ratings for all the Lions players would go up, while all the Pats ratings would go down. There's some formula as to how much they go up or down, but I don't know it.

Thanks Dianwe. Interestingly enough I stumbled on a post in the 2k5 forum just after posting this. The post wasn't about the EQ but they discussed it in that post and basically said the same thing you did.

It's hard figuring out which game to play: 2k5 or 2k8...lol!

No problem, I'm also having the 2k5 vs 2k8 problem. I like the presentation better in 2k5, but I like the tiered player concept in 2k8, not to mention the upgrade to graphics and animations, but it's kind of hard to fault 2k5 for that since it was made a long time before 2k8.
