I just made a sort of "all time" Redskins team, emphasizing on Linebackers and Secondary.

Gold:
Darrell Green (Ball Hawk, Speed burner, coverage bonus) CB
Sam Huff (Run coverage, coverage bonus, ball hawk) LB

Silver:
Champ Bailey (Coverage bonus, Ball hawk) CB
Sean Taylor (Ball Hawk, Footsteps) SS
Ken Houston (Strength bonus, ball hawk) FS


Bronze:
Mark Rypien (refuse to use Hostetler...any suggestions?)
Gerald Riggs (soft hands) could use Riggins, Allen,etc....
Tom Rathman (I know..but I needed a fullback and I loved Rathman) May make Sellers
Cris Cooley (Possession receiver)
Lavar Arrington (Run Coverage)
Bobby Boucher (the team is technically the "Mud Dogs" from "The Waterboy") Speed Burner (just because)

D-line focuson run coverage
Linebacker focus: Run coverage
Corners: Pass (only coming into play on Nickel and Dime)
Safeties:Run (for generics, who will hardly see light of day)

Oline: Run
Receivers: Possession
Running backs: Power

I would set the generic O-line to Balanced. I've experiemented extensively with both Run Block and Pass Block O-lines and have concluded that the Balanced O-linemen are the best. The Run/Pass linemen are slightly better at what they specialize in, but not enough to make up for their deficiencies in the other.

With a Run blocking O-line, they block a little better on running plays, but they are atrocious at pass blocking, letting even generic D-linemen into the backfield before you can finish dropping back. A Pass blocking O-line can block on passing plays slightly better than the Balanced line, but they are terrible at blocking for rushing plays.

Also, I would use Finesse HB's, you won't break any tackles with a generic HB, so it's better to use the fastest generic HBs so that you can get as many yards as possible before getting tackled.

Thanks...I am actually thinking of dropping Bailey for a Silver HB (maybe Portis) and replacing Riggs with a CB (perhaps Smoot or someone else).

Thanks for the advice on the O and D lines...I will try that out...

By the way, Rathman rocks...
