You can't throw on the run fluidly in next-gen Madden IMO. Plus All-Pro even has signature Quarterback throwing styles and drop backs. Randall Cunningham throws like Randall, and so on.

Well, from my perspective I think it's going to happen because it's just too perfect from a business standpoint. They're owned by the same company that makes GTA. They can afford the NCAA fees if they want to. Before, they weren't owned by take two. Now they are.

Plus, VC has gone DEAD silent over their football dealings. No interviews, no Q&A, nothing. The absolute media silence is a little strange imo. If they were going to just give up on football, and wait for the NFL, we would have heard something about it by now. Instead, it's always "wait and see".

I think the reason for that is they've been developing something they don't want anyone to know about...particularly EA. It's probably NCAA, but it could be something else. Either way, I'd seriously doubt they're just sitting on that engine and doing nothing. They know their football games are their gravy.

They were owned by Take Two when they declined the NCAA license fees. There were other things going on with the company at that time but just saying Take Two owned them at that point.

I disagree with the any 2K football is better than none theory though, did u play thier last NCAA game? It was terrible, just NFL with different skins and a awful recruiting engine.

Wouldn't put that idea too high on my wishlist though. 2k doesn't really seem that interested in thier football games right now. All-pro failed in what they wanted to see from it and thier NCAA games didn't have best reputation. 2k might have a cult like following for thier football games, but its a small minority of gamers. Why pay all that money for a license when you arent' guaranteed a good profit from that.

Not saying game would be bad, just bad reps in video games can be hard to overcome. Yeah game would play great but might not sell so well. Also remember 2k is not good at marketing so you might not hear about the game until its too late anyways.

No they weren't. VC was sold to Take Two in 2005. The last NCAA game was NCAA2k3 which was developed in 2002.

And as far as quality...things are again different. Back then they were putting all their resources towards the NFL. Now, with NO football at all, this would be their baby. It would end up being what NFL2k11 would have been, only with college instead.

To me, that sounds awesome. I could care less about the NFL if I get NCAA2k11/12.

Same with Madden.

You are incorrect. 2k decided against renewing their NCAA license for College Hoops in January 2008. The exclusive rights to NCAA football went to EA years ago though.

While College Hoops was a quality and well reviewed franchise, it apparently didn't sell well enough to deserve the resources to keep it going. Much like McDonald's and Coke, people still buy EA's games, regardless of how posters here wish the general public viewed the quality.

I never played 2k3 but watched some videos and yes it does look terrible. Again, that was 7 years ago! 2k could make some huge money off of a college football game. Many are angered at EA for various reasons and I would likewise be very suprised if 2k doesn't work to make a college football 2k11 happen. They no longer have an NFL game to make, no College Hoops. I say why not go all out for an NCAA Football game and see if we can't turn some heads. Do what they did for NFL 2k5 and sell it cheaper than what NCAA Football 11 would be. If they include the great gameplay, a dynasty-like mode without the screwed up progression, great presentation, and good rosters, what do you know they have already PASSED EA!

The rights to NCAA football went the EA in 2005. 2k hadn't developed a game at that point in 3 full years. They had no intentions on making a game in 2005 or beyond, and thus, did not peruse it.

When the NCAA football license was up for purchase, VC was in between publishers and trying to reorganize. They weren't in the position to do anything.

Times have changed.
