Just picked it up. having a great time (other than the fact theres no franchise)

but i was wondering about the 2-8 online multiplayer? is that for like 4 on one cocsole vs 4 on another? is there a team up mode?

I have no clue why they put 2-8 LOL. You can probably play 4 on 4 online in a unranked match but I have never seen a game 4 on 4 online.

I'm pretty sure I remember playing an unranked game against a two-man team where both guys were playing on the defensive line.

I think it was in this game, but it's been so long I can't remember.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was available in unranked games since same-system online team up been a staple of 2K Sports games going back to the Dreamcast days.

I remember back on the Dreamcast we would have two of us playing the game while another guy was the designated "trash talker" using the Dreamcast keyboard.

LOL, I got really good and fast typing all because of the Dreamcast keyboard LOL.

How would that even work? Send a friend invite? I know I have tried to play two players on the same team with tpaterniti. We were able to launch the game, and receive the kickoff, return the ball, and then call the first play. Whenever it went to the field it always crashed sending us back to the lobby. I'd be really surprised if you can get more payers into a single game, though I'd definitely be up for trying it if anyone ever wants to see if it works. Could be a new / fun way of playing APF2K8.

It only works locally.

You need people playing on the same system to get more than one person on a team.
