So if you switch your star defensive guys over to the left side, you can get:

DE2 DT2 DT1 DE1
OT1 G1 C1 G2 OT2
This would explain why Doleman had been an absolute monster for me seeing as I was playing him at his natural position.

Re: Pressure in the 3-4: OLB or DE?

In a similar vein to this topic, if you had a Gold and two Silver legends to split between 3 positions: ILB, OLB, and NT; where would you put the Gold player? I'm working on a team with a 3-4 defense and my Gold OLB still isn't doing much in terms of pass pressure. I'm looking at a Gold ILB because he's the captain of the defense and a playmaker in run support and pass coverage, but an elite NT is a valuable asset to any 3-4 defense because he can collapse the pocket and close up running lanes.

I'd put the gold at NG or at ROLB. Personally, I'd pick ROLB and let him really dictate where the offense goes. I've seen gold DT/NGs put up silly sack numbers in leagues.. up in the 20-30's.

I would go

NT: Jerome Brown
ILB: Pepper Johnson
OLB: Lamar Lathon

--Id use a silver and gold on either 2 CBs, or a CB and S.

I happen to like Lamar Lathon over the other bronze pass rush OLBs, because he's big.

You can also use a DE instead of the ILB. Someone like Clyde Simmons, for example.

Either way, you want to have as many people on your front 7 with pass rush bonuse, as possible.

Personally, I like to role with a pittsburgh steelers style, zone blitz 3-4

something like

DT: Art Donovan
OLB: Brade Van Pelt
ILB: Karl Mecklenburg
OLB: Lamar Lathon
SS: Charlie Watters
FS: Nolan Cromwell

Coverage Audible Van Pelt your generic LB and Safeties all over the place, blitz your pass rush LB's repeatedly..and have at it!

If you're using a 3-4 most your pressure is going to come up the middle. IMO gold olbs are a waste in a defensive scheme

Bronze DE Leonard Marshall is a beast in the 3-4. Don't know what it is, but I noticed he was killing my O Line in a 1P vs CPU match. I put him on my own team and I like him alot.
