Backbreaker and Gears of War

After watching some of the game-play videos, especially the up-close
behind the player perspective, I was reminded of the movement and
atmosphere that is with Gears of War. Never thought I would compare
a shooter with a sports' title however that's the vibe I get from the BB
videos. Have a look at some Gears of War footage then look at the
Backbreaker movements, I get a weird similarity between the two.

Am I off-base?

Yes and if done right it would be a great alternative to Madden.

I just hope they get the football stuff right even if the camera part is ala FPS or arcade like...

I like the immersion that the camera perspective gives, however the one clip with the QB
throwing awkwardly (the flight of the ball was awkward looking) off of his back foot and
into quadruple coverage for a touchdown was not exactly awe-inspiring.

Right now I actually like the 'Gears of War' approach.
