This is just to update everyone on the latest on Backbreaker.

The release date has been moved to Tuesday June 1st. The developers are tweaking and fine tuning the game's AI and player ratings. This is a crucial area in the game and will determine whether or not the gameplay is strong.

The game is shipping with over 60 ready made teams and the game has the user ability to create 32 teams. With over 90 teams and an estimated 50 plus players per team. The game will have over 4,600 players that will all be ranked individually. How the players are rated and the ratings truly effect that will need to be accurately reflected in the game's AI.

There are two seperate franchise modes in Backbreaker and there will be drafting and free agency. So it's a big task to get the details right for every player and team.

In the next couple of weeks, there will be dev diaries in relation to the game's extensive customization tools and there will be a deeper look into the game's various playing modes. Online, tackle alley, multi-player, arcade, pro and the two seperate franchise modes.

Expect to see a demo at some point in May. Looks like mid May at this point.

I hope for Backbreaker it's not pushed back anymore. Getting too close to Ncaa and Madden 11

Hey, if it helps the game--I've got no problem and can wait an extra week.

Especially since this will be my only football purchase this year.

Yeah I can handle a push back especially If the demo is going to come out mid may. Do what you you gotta do, just don't push it back to much further.

Getting a bit impatient.

I'd much rather have them moving the release back. Good to hear! Also, the demo release is another positive point.

im fine with the push back i have my hands full with mlb the show right now so thats all i really need until football gaming starts to kick in

Just another delay I see. I am sure there is a few reason for it. But 4 years is more then enough to fix this stuff. I was looking forward to getting it next month. But now just more excuses for delaying. The longer they delay it,the more their sales will hurt. Because when june comes. E3 is nearing and people will be thinking more about ncaa 11 and madden 11. This getting boring now.

Wow, BB can't win can it?

If it comes in May, the game will be "broken" if it is delayed a few more weeks to smooth out what everyone has been complaining about, it is the end of the world.

They need to take as long as they need to get it right. I would much rather have that than to have a Patchapalooza.
