the developers mentioned multiple times in the videos that there is a replay mode and one of them said something along the lines of watching a play in replay and then saving it.

Nothing confirmed but one of the devs in the videos mention it

It was confirmed back in April of 2008 that you can save replays... Don't know about uploading them though.
