I'd like to create a topic where all the penalty mistakes are listed so everyone is aware of all of them...

* If the punting team downs the ball in the endzone, it's not a touchback, the receiving team gets the ball on the 1.

* Intentional grounding from the endzone does NOT result in a safety. It's also a 10 yard penalty and replay down instead of loss of down and the ball at the spot.

* On a missed FG, opposing team always gets the ball at the 20, instead of where the holder was when the kick happened if it was outside the 20.

* Clock does not stop on encroachment penalty.

You are assuming that this game follows a set league's set of rules but you have to remember it is a fictional league.

This is true. But it does seem like theres a lack of any kind of rule in some situations. An explanation of the rules is needed if it's going to be different from the rules that most of us are accustomed to.

If this fictional league did have new rules, wouldn't it be you know beneficial to actually give an explanation of these rules?

I don't know what is worse, having wrong NFL rules or creating new rules and leaving the user to find out these rules on the fly.

"If"? It is a fictional league. "new" rules? Again you assume it's the EN'EF'EL.

But yes, I agree with you, they should give an explanation of the rules seeing as this is something completely new.

I know its a fictional league, what I meant was rather it used the rules we are accustomed to in the NFL ( again not saying this is the NFL just using the rules or even college rules) or created rules for the BB league.

With no explanation at all, we are left guessing and learning on the fly.

I assumed as I'm guessing a lot of people did also, that with no word on rules we thought we would get rules that the NFL uses.
